Easter Wishes

Hi everyone, hope you are having a great weekend... The wind is blowin' like you know what, here... I thought I moved out of Oklahoma and got away from that strong of wind.... You know, "where the wind comes sweeping down the plains".....lol.. Anyway, here is the card I made for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge. Today's Inspiration was to come from Room Service Home Website and I chose this one and this is what I did.
Base Card is Pink Passion.
Next is Green Galore.
Top layer is Whisper White stamped with Leafy Glade BG Stamp (SU retired) in Pink Passion.
The sweet little image is one that I got off of ebay. I bid on 12 Penny Black embossed images and received this one for free.. I assume that it is also Penny Black. I colored it with SU Markers and then layered it on Pink Passion and Green Galore.
Layered over ribbon.
The sentiment is from All Holidays and is stamped with VersaMark on Green Galore. Embossed in Black and then sponged with Green Galore. Popped up with pop dots.
Doodled around the edges with black SU pen and the white dots are with the White Signo pen.
Added a tiny cotton ball to the bunny's tail....
Hope you like it...
Thanks so much for looking.

Spring Is In The Air with Garden Whimsy

Happy Friday everyone...
Here is a card I made for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge.. And what a challenge it was. We were to use ONLY one stamp set, no DP, we had to make our own. No punches diecuts, cuttlebugging or texture plate, except we could use the punches of nestabilities on out sentiment, only. And the only embellishments we could use were ribbon and brads.... Man, what a challenge... Here is what I did...
Base card is Basic Black.
Next is a layer of Real Red.
Top layer is Whisper White.
Stamped Garden Whimsy, lady bugs in Real Red and colored the dots with SU Marker. Used the round sentiment and stamped over the background, too. Sponged the edges with Real Red and Basic Black. Added the brads and ribbon.
The tulips are stamped in Orchid Opulence and Only Orange, leaves in Old Olive. Cut all of these out and attached to my Whisper White, the tulips are popped up on pop dots.
Butterfly is stamped in Tempting Turquoise on Whisper White, twice, cute out and attached to card.
The sentiment is stamped with VersaMark on Whisper White and embossed in black. Punched this out with the SU Oval punch. Cut another Real Red Oval and Basic Black Oval, and layered and attached over the ribbon on pop dots.
Hope you like it.. Pretty simple..
Have a wonderful evening and great weekend.
Thanks for looking.

The little things in life....

Hello,
So glad you could stop by today.. Here is a card I made for today's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge. We were to create using a frugal find. Something inexpensive or something recycled in our design. I found this dragonfly (which was a necklace) in my DD's things she left here and so, I decided to use that. I hope she doesn't recognize it...lol.. Anyway, here's what I did...
Base card is Whisper White.
Next is Tempting Turquoise.
Next is a very bright Fuchsia Pink Glitter Paper.
Next is Whisper White, again.
And the top layer is Tempting Turquoise that I ran through the crimper.
The flowers are punched with The Paper Studio 2" and 1 3/8" Flower punches in Fuchsia Pink and Light Blue Glitter Paper.
The corners are punched with the SU Corner Punch with the Fuschia Pink Glitter Paper.
The sentiment is also something I found in my DD's stash. Its from a set called Susan Branch Girlfriends. I stamped this in Basic Black on Whisper White, cut it out and then sponged around the edges with Tempting Turquoise and Pink Passion. Added some mulberry paper and then popped it up on pop dots over my ribbon.
Took the dragonfly off of the necklace and attached to the stick pin.
Added the pearls...
Hope you like it...
Thanks for looking.
Have a wonderful evening.

Hogs & Kisses for Savannah

Hello everyone!
Here is a card I made for today's SCS Card Sketch Challenge. I decided to go with the very old retired Pasture Birthday set from SU because my DGD has been going to the livestock shows and lovin' the animals. Especially the pigs and sheep. So I made this card for her... Here's what I did..
Base card is Basic Black.
Next is Certainly Celery.
Top layer is Nana's Nursery Baby Girl DP. Used the decorative corner punch on this layer and then covered it up with jewels... Oh, well...
The strip is also Nana's Nursery Baby Girl DP, and layered over Basic Black.
The images are stamped with VersaMark on Whisper White CS and embossed in black. I colored them with SU Markers. They are cut with nestabilities and layered on Basic Black cut with nestabilities.
The letters are Monkey Tails from Sizzlits and cut out of Regal Rose and Basic Black. I stamped Twill over the Regal Rose letters and then layered over the black ones.
The "&" is chip board.

Flower? What Flower??

Hi everyone, so glad you could stop by..
This is a card I made for today's SCS Color Combination Challenge. We were to use Pumpkin Pie, Summer Sun and Kiwi Kiss (or Old Olive). Today my Old Olive was feeling a little left out, so I decided to use that instead of the Kiwi Kiss. Not a lot of stamping on my card, just a lot of layers... Here's what I did.
Base card is Old Olive.
Next is Summer Sun.
Next is Pumpkin Pie.
Then a layer of Scenic Route DP.
Then I cut 2 frames with my cricut, 1 in Summer Sun, and 1 in Pumpkin Pie. Layered these on top of the Scenic Route DP.
The sentiment is from Lovely Labels and is stamped on Whisper White CS with Pumpkin Pie. Then I punched it out with the SU 1 3/8" Circle Punch.
Next I used Polka Dot Punches and stamped it in Pumpkin Pie on Summer Sun CS. Punched this out with the SU Scallop Circle Punch. Then I layered both of these on Old Olive punched with the SU 1 3/4" Circle Punch. Popped this up on pop dots..
Added that HUGE flower and button with cord, and the ribbon.
Hope you like it...
Thanks for looking.

Friends Make Life Blossom Card with magnetic closure

Hello everyone,
Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday... I have my beautiful granddaughter here today and she helped me with this fun card. She really loved the Ann Griffin DP and flower, so we decided to make a card using these items...
The card is a little different than the other ones I have posted. The front of the card is only 3/4ths of the length of the back. Which means that the front in just the pink layer and sentiment box. The Kiwi Kiss DSP is actually the inside of the card. Hope that makes since.
Layered Anna Griffin DP over the Kiwi Kiss CS.
The sentiment is from PrintWorks Collection and is stamped on Pink Pirouette CS in VersaMark and embossed in Black. This was cut with the nestabilities. Then I cut the Kiwi Kiss CS and then I added a magnetic strip and then layered on Regal Rose again, cut with the nestabilities.
for the inside layer I put another piece of the magnetic strip and then attached a piece of Kiwi Kiss DSP.
Punched the corners with the SU corner punch.
The Flower is from Anna Griffin, I added the Kiwi Kiss branches with the MS branch punch. Button is from Chatter Box.
Hope you like it...
Thanks so much for stopping by, come back again real soon...

Round Top Box

Hello everyone..
Here is the Round Top Box we were to make for SCS Try a New Technique Challenge. This was super easy and I would have gotten it done sooner if I wasn't babysitting... My DDIL wanted to go shopping for some new clothes and I volunteered to babysit since I didn't have to work today. We had a lot of fun.. and now everyone has gone home, so I finished my project. Here is what I used.
The box pattern was printed on a piece of K&Company double sided DP. I cut it out and put it together. Next I cut a piece of the same dp out with the nestabilities and added it to the rounded top area. I used the MS lace border punch with the same paper. I am just reversing the dp, so that when I layer it, it shows the other side.
I stamped the butterflies from The Paper Studio Clear Stamps onto the dp with Sage Shadow and cut them out. Sponged around the edges with Sage Shadow and added the half pearls. Added the silk flower.
Stamped the sentiment from On Your Birthday with Basic Black onto the dp, punched out with the SU oval punch. Layered with other side dp. Then layered over leaves from MS Leaf Punch. Added the decorative brads.
These are really cute and real easy to make, and would be a great idea for the little kiddos at school holidays. Just use the theme for that holiday and add candy, easter eggs, or whatever you like and there you have it... I will have to share this with my DDIL and DD..
Thanks so much for stopping in.
Have a great evening.

Let's "crow" old together! - Card

Happy Valentines Day everyone.....
Here is a card I made for today's SCS Inspiration Challenge. Which was the website of The Artful Bras Project, and is an exhibit of 49 one-of-a kind works of art created by the members of Quilters of South Carolina to make the public aware of breast cancer, to memorialize those lost to the disease, and to honor survivors. They have some pretty amazing bras... I chose the watermelon one... and it inspired me to to this...
The base card is Barely Banana.
Next is a layer of Cameo Coral.
Next is a layer of Color Book DP.
The top layer is The Paper Studio DP.
I stamped my image on watercolor paper and then colored with prismacolors and OMS. Cut it out with the nestabilities and then added the flower brads. The watermelon is stamped on water color paper and colored with prismacolors and then cut out and popped up with pop dots on the main image. This is layered on a piece of Color Book DP cut with nestabilities. I doodled around the watercolor paper and then used the white gel pen on the Green Color Book DP.
I printed the sentiment off of the computer on Barely Banana and then layered it on Cameo Coral and then on Color Book DP.
Added the ric-rac to the top and bottom and added the little brads in the corners.
Hope you like it.

Dance to the beat of your own drum!!

Happy Friday!!
Here is a card I made for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge. We were to use TWO or more "things" on our card that are a "stretch" for us. Well, that was difficult for me, because I try to be very versatile and use many different things. So I really had to do some thinking on this one. I finally decided to use this very old stamp as one. I bought this beauty, along with about 7 others off of ebay 2 or three years back and I've not inked her up to a very long time. So, one down and one to go. The next thing I decided to use was the "Magic Mesh". Another item I had to wipe the dust off of. Okay so now I have to decide what I was going to do with these two items.
Base card is Core Color Coredinations DP
Next is Creamy Caramel. Used decorative corner punch on this... another thing I haven't used in a very long time... This one is very hard for me to line up right....
The top layer is K&Company DP.
Stamped my beauty on watercolor paper and colored her with prismacolors and OMS. Cut this out with the nestabilities. Sponged around the edges with Creamy Caramel and Regal Rose. Added the little button brads and the Circle hardware (another item I haven't used in a very long time) and tied a knot with the ribbon.
Layered on a piece of Core Color Coredinations DP cut with nestabilities.
Sentiment is printed off of the computer on Creamy Caramel and layered on Core Color Coredinations DP. This is popped up. Added the brads in the corners, and stickles on the little ladies eyelids and lips.
Thanks so much for looking.
Have a great weekend.

Wild Rose Background on Fabric - Card

Hello there,
Here is a card I made for today's Ways to Use It Challenge. We were to use Fabric on our card. I found a piece of Vanilla Fabric Hemp and decided to see if I could stamp on it... And guess what? Well here, I'll tell you what I did...
Base card is Regal Rose.
Next is a layer of Very Vanilla.
Now the top layer is a piece of Hemp - Vanilla Fabric and I stamped my brand new Wild Rose Background stamp that I got from ebay today on it with Brown StazOn. I colored the leaves and roses with SU Markers. Then I cut it out with my pinkin shears and sewed it on the Old Olive CS. I sponged the edges with Old Olive.
Added the covered buttons and ribbon.
The sentiment is from Hero Arts and called Friendly Greetings. I stamped it with Basic Black on Very Vanilla and then sponged around the edges with Regal Rose. Punched out with the 1 3/8 SU Circle Punch. Then I punched out a 1 3/4 circle with the SU Circle Punch in Regal Rose and sponged the edges of that also. Added leaves that I punch out with MS Leaf Punch in Old Olive between the layers. Added little prima flowers with dew drop centers.

Crimped Envelope - Wedding Card - Brilliant Blue

Hello again...
I have been working on this "Envelope Pocket Card" for two days now, and I really need some feedback on it. A lady I work with ask me to make a card for her son who is getting married next month. The color is Brilliant Blue. The girl he is marrying is not into traditional flowers, such as roses, more into wildflowers. I would really love to know what you think... Good or Bad... just give it to me.. I can take it... I hate to take it to her and it be way off base for a wedding card...
Here's how I made it.
Used the Crimped Envelope Pocket Card tutorial on Split Coast Stampers..
I used the White Jumbo Envelope 5 3/4" x 8 3/4".
Sponged around the edges with Brilliant Blue and then stamped in the background the flowers from Petal Prints. Ran the bottom part of the envelope through the crimper.
Stamped the flowers from 2-Step Petal Prints in Ballet Blue and then the outline in Brilliant Blue. Cut these out. Stamped the leaves from Flower Fancy on Kiwi Kiss with Old Olive Ink and cut these out. 2 of the flowers are on pop dots and the others are attached to the envelope card. Added a little stickles to the flowers.
The sentiment is from All Year Cheer III and is stamped with VersaMark on Whisper White. Embossed in Black, added the blue jewels. Cut with Nestabilities. Sponged around the edges with Brilliant Blue. Layered on Brilliant Blue, cut with nestabilities and then used the White Gel Pen to add white dots. This is also up on pop dots. Added the Big half pearls to the center of the flowers and the med. half pearls in the bottom right hand corner. All of the pearls are from SU Pretties.
For the top of the envelope pocket card. I sponged the edges with Brilliant Blue, added the blue ribbon, and bow. Used small half pearls on the ribbon. The stick pin with pearls and clear beads are from SU Pretties, too. I added the little white flower and some stickles on it.
I haven't finished the insert yet. I will give her a few poems or quotes, or, she can provide me with what she wants on it.....
What do you think???
Thanks for stopping by...
Have a great weekend!!

Hello all...
Sure am glad it's Saturday... I feel awful.. We are having some awesome weather, but that wind is blowing something in the air that I just can't handle.... Anyway, here is a card I managed to make this morning for the SCS Inspiration Challenge. We were to get inspired with the hunkydoryhome website.... I chose the Orange Bird Magnet, and this is what I did....

Base card is Basic Black.
Next is a layer of My Minds Eye DP.
The next layer is from Nana's Nursery Baby Girl DP layered over Basic Black.
The next layer (little pink dots) is My Minds Eye DP layered over Basic Black.

Layered over Certain Celery and Basic Black, both cut with nestabilities. Added the pink brads and doodled around the edges of the Basic Black with White Gel Pen, and around the Whisper White with the SU marker. Added the black jewels and ribbon.

Hello everyone!!

Here is the card I made for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge... Although, I think I used more supplies on this card than most of the others..lol... Base card is Basic Black.
Next is a layer of Red Hearts DP.
Next is a layer of Brocade Black DP.
The large red heart is a foiled doily that I bought from HL and come about 10 in a pack.

Top layer is Very Vanilla stamped with Bodacious Bouquet in Cameo Coral. I stamped it twice so that I could cut the 2 front petals off and pop them up on the main image. This layer was cut with the nestabilities and then layered on Old Olive CS, also cut with the nestabilities.
Punched the leaves with the MS Leaf Punch out of Old Olive and then added the bow.
Punched 2 butterflies out with the MS Butterfly Punch out of Cameo Coral and layered.
Used the SU Corner Punch and added brads.
Let me know what you think...
Have a great evening.

Find Joy In the Little Things...

Hi there,
This is the card I made for one of today's Color Combination Challenges. We have two for today... I only got around to do this one, so maybe I will use the other one with tomorrow's Card Sketch Challenge.. Anyway, I also wanted to do yesterday's challenge over, since I didn't do it correctly. So this is also for the Try a New Technique Challenge which was to make a Recessed Window on our card. I think I got it right this time... Here's what I did.
My base is Tempting Turquoise. I cut my recessed window in this layer.
Next is a layer of Tempting Turquoise DSP, and I cut the window out and then used it on the bottom of the recessed window.
Then I cut the squares out of Lovely Lilac and Gable Green with the nestabilities and layered them. Added appliques on these little squares.
In the recessed window I cut Doodlebug Bubblegum DP and Gable Green CS with the nestabilities and then added another applique.
Stamped my sentiment with Basic Black on Gable Green and then cut with nestabilities. Added faux pearl for the "O" in joy. Added ribbon..
I was a little afraid of the colors for today's challenge, I really thought I would have to make an Easter Egg card....lol.. But it actually turned out really cute, I think... tfl...
Have a great evening.

HI

Hello!!
This is the card I made for today's Try a New Technique Challenge. We were us make a recessed window to frame our image. I did this, but I didn't do it exactly like the instructions. I still like the way it turned out... So here's what I did...
The base card is Kiwi Kiss.
Next is Yo-Yo Yellow.
Next is American Crafts DP.
The box is Pink Pirouette DSP and the inside is Kiwi Kiss DSP.
The corners are punched with the SU Corner Punch out of Kiwi Kiss and Cameo Coral.
Added Buttons with yellow cord.
The image is from Snag'em Stamps and is stamped in Basic Black on Whisper White CS. Then I colored it with SU Markers. Punched it out with a circle punch and sponged around the edge with Cameo Coral. I then layered it on a piece of Pink Pirouette CS, which I punched out with the Marvy Scallop punch and doodled around the edges with white gel pen.
Added paper flower and leaves punched with the MS Leaf Punch. Added sticky letters, and doodled some of the edges with the white gel pen.. It does look better IRL because it's like 3D..
Hope you like it.
Have a great evening!!

Sweetie Pie - Elum Doodle Art Collection

Hello!!!
This is the card I made for yesterday's SCS Inspiration Challenge. We were to use the Elum website to get our inspiration from this week.. I chose this one. Doodle Art Collection, and this is what I did.
The base card is Real Red
Next is a layer of Color Me... Luxe Designs. I colored randomly with the SU Real Red Marker..
I stamped Tilda from Magnolia on watercolor paper and colored her with prismacolors and OMS. Rounded the corners with a rounded corner punch and doodled around the edges. This is layered on a piece of Real Red CS cut with nestabilities and then doodled around the edges of this also. The sentiment is printed off of the computer on whisper white cs and layered on Real Red punched with the SU Oval PUnch. Added a heart jewel and this is popped up on pop dot. Added the ribbon, bow and faux pearl.
I would have gotten this done yesterday, but I had my grandbabies all weekend and I can't do any stamping with little 2.5 month old Colten... So I just now finished my card.... I hope you like it... Thanks so much for looking...
Have a wonderful evening..
