Hello Everyone!!!!  It's Friday and that means we have another great challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches and this week it's a layout sketch designed by Co-Leader, Nanne.. .

So for my layout using this sketch, I decided to scrap a photo of my husband and GS Colten driving our Massey Ferguson.  The photo was taken October 20, 2012 and Colten (not quite 4 years) was having a blast driving it by himself...

Savannah ~ It's the little moments..... -- Stuck On U Sketches

 Hi everyone!!!!  I wish you all the very best in 2013 and hope you find lots of time to create/scrap!!  To help you along we have another beautiful sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches and this one was created by Co-Leader Nanne...

   

Here's the sketch.....

BUT, for this challenge we also have a twist...  Use some of your scraps!!  Although you don't have to do the twist if you don't want too....  but why not?  I know most of us have plenty of scraps laying around so here's a chance to use some of 'em!!!  ;o)

I wound up not using a couple of these, but then I also used up some of my black cardstock scraps to mat the photo and for the 4 Sizzix flourishes in the corners!!!

 For this challenge I decided to do a "girly" page....  With 3 little grandsons and only 1 granddaughter I find myself doing more and more "boy" layouts..... 

The photo is of GD Savannah at 6 years, and was taken September 25, 2011...

The Goose Island Oak ~ Stuck On U Sketches

Hi everyone!!  Happy Friday..  I've been MIA lately and I apologize for that, but this is my first summer being a "cowgirl" literally, and I have to make sure my cows have plenty of water during these hot summer days and I'm also feeding them a little so they won't eat up all of the grass...  So what I'm trying to say is - I'm spending a lot of time over at the farm and not much time in my scrap studio!!!   :o(

But, not to worry, I have a reveal for today's new sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches and this sketch will make you think just a little...  Anyway it did me....  But not to worry because we have lots of  inspiration from the Design Team over at SOUS..

As you can see I flipped mine since I was using a large photo of an "old" oak tree, I wanted it too look like we were sitting under it instead of on top of it....   Also you can see I just cut up an 8 1/2" by 11" photo for my photo collage instead of using a lot of different small photos... 

I also wanted to use the statistics of this old tree on the layout, but I would have to make it quite large for you to be able to read it..... So I've added it on the back.. (Click on photo to see the whole plaque)

Now, if you are familiar with my layouts, you know I don't do CAS layouts very often.... It's not because I don't like them... I really do...  In fact, I love the way your main focus is on the photos on a CAS layout...  I just usually try to add more layers and embellies on my layouts...  But when I saw this sketch from Sandi, I loved the simplicity of it and therefore decided to see if I could  make a layout focusing on the photo only, but still wanted it to be pretty.  I must say it was a little hard for me, and I still think I need to add more...  not for sure what..  But this is what I come up with!!!

What's For Supper ~ Stuck On U Sketches ~ WAS WINNER OVER AT "BY THE CUTE & GIRLY:

Hi everyone!!!  It's Friday and that means we have another reveal over at Stuck On U Sketches...  This time it's a sketch, and it was created by one of our Team Leaders Sandi Clarkson....

Here's the sketch for the next 2 weeks...

Gosh, it's almost beautiful enough to just add photos!!! :o)...  Anyway, I went into my photo archive for these cute photos of Savannah taken back in 2007.  She was helping me in the kitchen.  I was working on the counter and she was working on the floor... lol   Happy memories for sure.  I showed her this layout yesterday and she didn't realize the photos were of her...  She's changed so much and she's growing up way to fast!!!!

I am so proud of myself...  ALL papers and embellies I used on this layout come from old stash that I've had for one to two years at least!!!!  Cardstock is from Stampin' Up and the PP is from Basic Grey and from Stampin' Up DSP..  I added the Tulip rub-ons, K & Company Chipboard Flowers over a Sizzix Vine Big Die cut, and a chipboard Butterfly, and I used the MS Cherish Border and Corner punch around the outside edges and the MS Rings Border and Corner punch around the inside layer. You can also see a portion of the ribbon I used..
