A BIG THANK YOU to Creative Cuts &More owner Terry!!!!
I also want to show you the prize Creative Cuts & More is giving away to one lucky person who followers all of the rules and completes the hop before Midnight, July 31, 2011 Eastern Time...
Here's the prize!

Wow, look at all of the possibilities here!!!!

Okay, lets get started...
You should have "hopped" over here from Die Cut Diva's Design Team Member Dawn Lotharius..

If you didn't, you may want to head on over to SOUS (StuckOnUSketches) to be sure to start from the top!!  You won't want to miss any of the albums we created today.  Today's hop is all about SUMMER and Creative Cuts and More has a lot of albums perfect for all of your summer activities... so be sure and check that out after you finish the hop!!!

Now, for my Summer Mini Album, I decided I wanted to make an acetate/acrylic album... I've never done one, but have wanted to try one for a while now...  So I chose the 6" x 6" Album Pages in Acetate  from Creative Cuts & More.
I know there are a lot of different ways to decorate an acrylic album, but I decided to stick with what I thought was a pretty basic technique...  I wanted a clean, 3-D effect..  First of all I painted the edges of my album with some bright acrylic paint.   Then I decorated the front cover, leaving most of it clear so you could see through the whole album... I also covered the very last page with Tim Holtz alcohol inks... Love the way this page turned out!!!  And now to fill the "in between" pages..  I had an idea of what I was going to do, just a matter of making it look good...   I concentrated on photos of my grand kids all taken on the same day while they were playing in the pool..  I found 3 that would work together nicely, and then proceeded to cut Zach and Colten out of their photos and layer each on a different acrylic page over the larger photo of Savannah...  After I got them where I wanted... I just start adding stickers, embellishments, ribbon.. anything you can think of until you get the look you like...  I attached the album together with album rings and tied lots of fiber and ribbon along with some charms.  I hope you enjoy it.....

Looking through all of the pages...

Front cover...

Inside of front cover...

2nd page...

3rd page...

Back side of 4th page...  Details about the photos..

Last page... I used alcohol inks on this one...

Star Dancers ~ Stuck On U Sketch Challenge ~ Made Top 3 over at Lasting Memories!!

Hi everyone, Happy Friday!!!!  Today is reveal day over at Stuck On U Sketches...  and we have another fabulous sketch to show you by our very own Nanne!!!

I told you it was fabulous!!!!  :o)

I decided to get some of my son's wedding photos scrapped...  Let's see, since he and my DIL have been married for 9 years now, I guess I should get started on his scrapbook..    This is a photo of their first dance and I actually found this photo in one of the albums I got after my Grandmother pased away... Since I already have this photo, I  decided to scrap her photo.. that way I don't have to scan it to the computer and reprint it again..   None of my son's wedding photos are scanned to my computer..  it just takes me so long to do that, but I really need to get that done and then back it up on a disc..  Maybe when I have a spare moment or week!!!  LOL    Anyway, I hope you like my layout!!
Here are a few close-ups...

Close up of the Prima Flower, Stick Pins, Ribbon, and you can see some of my distressed edges..

Live~Laugh~Love Mini Album - Creative Cuts & More

Hi everyone, it's me again..
If you're looking for my Sketch Along Tuesday/Frosted Designs layout scroll down to the next post...
I finished my mini album that I started last week and shared a few pages with you over at the DieCut Diva's Blog last Wednesday..  Well, now I want to show you the finished product..
Here is the cover..

I'm using the 6" x 6" Heavyweight Album Covers/Pages over at Creative Cuts & More..., which I absolutely love!!!! I covered my album with the 6" x 6" Album Cover in Flame Orange Stardream Fuse Metallic Cardstock This cardstock is so pretty and I love the sparkle!! I embossed it with with the Stampin' Up Sizzix Flourish Embossing Folder...    Notice the frame and the crystal heart charm..

Here is the inside of the front cover... I also used a couple of the photo corners from the Photo Corner Set #02 in Copper Stardream Metallics.

Here is the next page..  Beautiful summer colors...  This is a prima flower and I have 3 tags..

On this page I used some Webster's Pages, added a little stickles to the flowers and butterflies and then added the stick-on butterfly and roses...  I have 1 tag on this page..

Here is the next page... Tied

And here it is untied...  room for photos and/or journaling...

Here is the next page...  I made a flap on this page...  Here is the top page..

Here is the flap opened...

Here is the actual page under the flap....

And this is the inside of the back cover.. Used a prima flutter vine, a couple of Zva Hearts and a fancy frame!!

And here is the back cover... you can see the beautiful 6" x 6" Album Cover in Flame Orange Stardream Fuse Metallic Cardstock. I haven't done anything to the back yet... I'm not sure who I'm going to give this to and when I figure it out I will write a little message...
By the way, don't forget to get some of Creative Cuts & More's Killer Red Tacky Tape to use on all of your mini albums!!!! This stuff is fantastic!!!
That's all I have for today... I hope you've enjoyed my Mini Album and just maybe I've inspired you to go over to Creative Cuts & More to check out their mini album kits, or maybe their individual pages, hardware, and their many, many die cuts... It's a lot of fun and they make wonderful gifts...
Thanks for dropping by!

Nature's Beauty ~ Sketch Along Tuesday/Frosted Designs AND Practical Scrappers Bird Project

Hi everyone!!  Today we reveal another sketch over at Frosted Designs/Sketch Along Tuesday..  This weeks beautiful sketch is from our very own Karin, and here it is....

Now, I've changed it up a bit, and instead of using a photo in the middle of the circles I used all of the circles for photos and the photo square for part of my journaling....  I had these awesome photos of the different kinds of birds coming to my birdbath and I thought this would be a perfect sketch to showcase them!!  All of the photos were taken through my kitchen window except the Barred Owl...  He/she comes and watches me water my garden every night...  Not scared of me at all...  I LOVE living in the country/woods and being surrounded by such beautiful creatures!!!   And this just so happens to fit in one of this months challenge calls over at Practical Scrappers ~ birds!!  Which, by the way you still have time to get your project in..  We would love to feature it right along side of ours!!!
Here is a close up of my feathered friends...

They are so beautiful!!
