Savannah ~ Make it BURN!!

Hi everyone, hope you're having a wonderful Friday. This is a page I made using this weeks sketch over at 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks. My DD Amanda took these pictures of Savannah while we were all touring their gym this page 4th of July. My son, Levi and his wife, Angela had not seen it, and Rick had not seen it once they got all of the equipment installed, so they were giving us all a tour.. Luckily no one was in there at that time because as you can see Savannah was trying out the equipment. They have strict rules about little ones not being allowed on the equipment, and we kept her off of most of it, but the treadmill was just too tempting. This weeks sketch used a lot of layers and I really like the way it came out... Hope you like it as well. Here's what I used.

HUGE RATTLESNAKE ~ MANOR, TEXAS...

Hello everyone..
I don't want to scare you with these pictures, but I want you to be aware that things like this can be slithering in your yard or flowerbeds. This HUGE rattlesnake was found 2 days ago in Manor, Texas. Very, very, very close to my daughter and her husband's home. With the drought so bad here in Texas and with new construction going on in that area, this BIG BOY was on the move. The news in Austin reported that they cut it open and found a rabbit inside. We all were thinking maybe a cat and small dog.. Just want everyone to please, please be very cautious and especially with your children and pets... Luckily no one was bitten by this one..
Like I said, I don't want to scare you, just want to make you aware that something like this could be anywhere.
I'll try and upload a scrapbook page tomorrow, so until then have a wonderful evening...

So Serious..

Hello everyone, hope your Wednesday went well. I haven't scrapped in a while, you know, baby sitting both days of the weekend and playing catch up on a few things the first part of the week, boy am I ready to play!! This is a page I did from a photo I just printed off of my daughter's shared photo album on the computer, so she doesn't know that I scrapped it for her. She has some beautiful photos that I will be scrapping and sharing with you. Now, for this one I didn't use a lot of embellishments, which isn't like me.. but I wanted you to focus on the beautiful picture. I may go back and add a few flourishes, not for sure yet. I hope you enjoy it.. and here's what I used.

The Rowdy Gals..

Here's a page of my Sister in Law with a group of gals who have been friends since grade school. They started getting together now that most of their kids have graduated and/or married. She sent me this picture but has no idea that I'm scrapping it for her. They try to escape their hectic family/work life once every month or so, and get together and go out to eat. They even try to take a trip together once a year. This year they are coming to my neck of the woods in the fall, and they have invited me to join them for dinner one night. I'm a couple of years younger then these gals, but I'm sure I would be the first to crash...lol I also did this page for this weeks 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks Sketch. I just got my inspiration from the sketch, I turned the sketch on the side and then went a little overboard on embellishments. Hope you like it.. Here's what I used:

Picking Strawberries layout..

Good Thursday morning everyone... This is a page I did of my little GD. This was taken last year here in Texas. She loved being able to go out and pick you own strawberries, so they decided to do it again this year. Unfortunately, I guess because of the bad economy the strawberry farm was shut down and she didn't get to pick any this year. She was so disappointed. I guess they'll just have to find another strawberry patch to go to next year. Anyway, I hope you like it and here's what I did:

Creative Belli Challenge #70 - Baby Girl Card

Good morning everyone.. Today's Wednesday and that means it's another Creative Belli Challenge. This weeks challenge is to use a "Megal Tag" on your card. I needed to make a baby card, so I combined the two. I also wanted to bling it up just a little, you know, for a little princess... So this is how I altered my tag. First I used my copic marker on it. Well, not really the color I was looking for. So next I very carefully stacked little tiny pink Czech glass seed beads all the way around the edge of the tag. Well, that might have worked if I hadn't stood them up so that you could see the tiny little holes. :( So then I got the stickles out and went over the beads. Finally, this was the what I was looking for. A little sparkly glam... And the rest of the card was a piece of cake. Here's what I used.
Card Recipe:
SU Whisper White CS
SU Melon Mambo CS

doily
Spellbinders Large Classic Scallop Circle
Cuttlebug Swiss Dots EF

Thanks so much for stopping by and please check out the other girls creations on the blog. And then dust your tags off and lets have some fun... Don't forget to upload so that we can all see your fantastic creations...

Hello everyone. Something must be going around, because I caught it this morning... Feeling much better this evening.. Here's a page I did of sweet little Savannah for this weeks 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks Challenge. This was taken Feb. 17, 2007, and we were all playing cards at the dining room table, she was in the middle of the floor in the living room. Since she was sitting down, we couldn't see her. When I got up to check on her, this is what I saw... We all died laughing... She is such a toot... Anyway, this sounds like something she would say today, so that's the title I used. I know the paper is busy, but then, so is she...lol.. Hope you like it.

Belli Challenge - Use Some Texture!

Good morning everyone. Today is Wednesday and that means another Belli Challenge, check it out. Today's challenge is to use some texture somewhere on your card. Go take a look at the other cards and see all of the different textures we came up with. I used Hemp Vanilla Fabric and here's what I did.

Card Recipe:

My base card is SU Elegant Eggplant CS.

Layered SU Very Vanilla CS over that, which I distressed and sponged with Basic Brown Ink.

The next layer is Crossed Paths Flora DP, which I also distressed and sponged with Basic Brown Ink. (I love this paper!!)

The frame is SU Elegant Eggplant CS cut with my Silhouette SD.

Cut out the Hemp Vanilla Fabric to fit behind the frame.

Stamped my Sarah Kay image on Whisper White CS and colored with Copics. Cut the image out and attached it to the fabric.

Branches punched out with MS Branch Punch.

Added Ribbon, Primas, Brads, and Creative Elements Mini Rose.

I had a lot of fun making this card... and now it's your turn... Get those creative juices flowing and let's see what you come up with. Be sure and upload it so we can all see it... Have fun, and thanks for visiting...

Have a wonderful day..
