Levi and Colten's Birthday Invitation

Hello everyone, this is the design that we finally ended up with for Levi and Colten's Birthday invitations. I had to change it up a little because I couldn't get any more of the "Dirt" dp, but I did find this awesome "Barnwood" paper that I liked and thought I could use instead. So this is what I came up with. I made 12 of these. And I also came up with this cute little poem.
************************
Why is it that all
boys love to get dirty,
no matter at what age,
ONE or THIRTY!!
*************************
Colten will be one and Levi will be thirty. Hey, I thought I did pretty good ...
Anyway I hope you like it..

Scrapbook Layout, 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks, Not A Morning Person

Hi everyone, long time no post!! I have been babysitting my little grand babies from last Monday night untill last night (Friday night). And I'm just a little embarrassed to say, I'm exhausted and just a little sleep deprived. I could babysit Savannah all the time with no problem, but little Colten, well, that's another story. He's 11 months old and just a go getter. Into everything, and climbs on everything he can. He has so many bumps and bruises on his little head, I feel so sorry for him. And he still doesn't sleep all night. So a couple of days I was up at 3:00 AM for the whole day, and let me tell you, this morning I slept in until 9:45 am, and I was still moving pretty slow. But now I have my house back to order and the laundry done, so I decided to scrap these cute pictures of Savannah I took three of the mornings trying to get her up out of bed. She is defiantly not a morning person. Actually to put it bluntly, a "REAL GROUCH". This is also for the sketch challenge over at 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks, if you have time and want to, go check 'em out here. I also used papers from the new November Swirlydoos Kit. I really love their kits, you can check them out here. Hope you like my layout, and here's what I used:
SU Mellow Moss CS and Ink
SU Blush Blossom CS and Ink
Su Pretty In Pink Ink
Kaiser Craft ~ Duchess Collection
MS Floral Lace Border Punch
Basic Grey ~ Laser Die Cut Paper - I'm using the back side, which is white, and then sponged it with Mellow Moss, Blush Blossom and Pretty In Pink.

Thickers ~ By The Yard
SU Watercolor Vine Jumbo Wheel
SU Canvas Background Stamp
Zva Self Adhesive Crystals
Imaginisce ~ Ring Around the Rosies 1/5" flowers
Prima Flower
Thanks so much for stopping by. I would love to know what you think if you'd like to leave me a comment, and please come back again.

blessing and exchange of rings~ Scrapbook Layout ~ Wedding

Hi everyone, I hope you're enjoying your Friday. It is 61 degrees here and absolutely "gorgeous". I wish we could have this kind of weather all year long... It's perfect weather to do a little scrapping and so I decided to make the other page of my DD Amanda's "exchange of rings" layout that I did earlier this week. I thought that this would be the second page, but actually it is the first page. I've also uploaded both pages together so that you see what it looks like.
The journaling is out of their Program and reads:
"A circle is the symbol of wholeness, perfection and unity.
Like circles, their rings have no beginning and no end.
They are tokens of the growing relationship that Amanda and Jason have come here to celebrate and confirm."
I can't believe how close I got the colors from using my brayer and sponging on both of these layouts. I used pretty much the identical paper, inks, flowers, (except the big pink Prima and the butterfly I used on the layout I did earlier.) The paper the journaling is on is Anna Griffin. I also used another smaller doily under the second photo on this layout. I used my Sillouette SD to cut out the silver rings and used glitter paper for the diamond. We all need a sparkly diamond in our ring... Other than that it's pretty much the same.
Thanks so much for stopping by and please check back again to see what I'm up to..
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Beautiful Texas Fall - Scrapbook Layout - Creative Belli Challenge -

Happy Wednesday everyone. It's time for another Creative Belli Challenge and this week we are sponsored again by the wonderful Creative Cuts & More and the belli challenge is a Fall/Thanksgiving Theme and to add a leaf or leaves to our project. I love the die cuts from CC&M and this time I decided to make a scrapbook layout with the Chipboard Rectangle Picture Frame ~ large. I sponged it with different Tim Holtz Distress Inks to get this beautiful fall shade. I think it goes very well with the paper and layout. I took these pictures going down my drive in the fall of 2005. Here in Central/South Texas we don't have much of a fall but that year it was beautiful. I hope you like it. Here's what I used.

52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks, Wedding Layout

Happy Thursday!!! Friday for ME!!! I hope to have a full day of scrapping tomorrow... yea! Now to get on with today. Here is a layout I did for this weeks sketch over at 52 Sketches-52Weeks. Julie has done it again, another wonderful sketch. I kept the initial layout, but didn't add the 2 little photos to the side because I wanted to leave enough room so Amanda could do her journaling here instead of across the embossed white layer along the bottom. The top layer is mostly trial and error. It's a piece of Color Mates Medium Mostly Mauve CS that I rolled with the SU So Swirly Jumbo Wheel in Regal Rose Ink, then I stamped swirls all over it in SU Purely Pomegranate (retired) ink. Then I sprayed it with Tattered Angels ~ Glimmer Mist - Pearls, I let it dry and then I wadded it up and then ironed it and then smeared SU Purely Pomegranate all over it, distressed the edges, punched the corners, and this is the final result. Hope you like it. Here's the rest of what I used.
Brocade Black ~ Velvet Paper
The Paper Company ~ White Embossed Swirl
Once Upon A Time ~ Botanical Script
Color Mates ~ Medium Mostly Mauve CS
SU Basic Black CS

Creative Cuts & More Trick or Treat Bags ~ Savannah's Class

Hi everyone, I just thought I was going to scrap today. My son, daughter in law and the little grand babies came over so we decided to make Halloween Treat Bags for Savannah's class at daycare. These are just the cutest little bags and I ordered them from Creative Cuts & More. They have so many cute die cuts, check 'em out.. Anyway, we had an assembly line going. I stamped "Trick or Treat" on the front, Savannah added the stickers, and my DDIL Angela, folded them, and then I taped them together with double sided tape. Afterward, as you can see Savannah added the candy. We made 15 total and I even have 10 left for my daughter Amanda to make and hand out at the daycare in their gym. We all had a lot of fun... Thanks for stopping by, and come back again...

Scrapbook Layout ~ Swirlydoos paper ~ Uh Oh ~ Colten

Hi everyone, it's a beautiful day here in central Texas.. Here is a another layout I finished of my little GS Colten. The paper I used is from the October Swirlydoos Kit. I love the colors in this one!!! Check out their kits here.
This was taken in August when Colten was 9 months old and pulling up to everything. Well, that included the stair banister and he would just stand at the bottom and look up, but wasn't for sure what to do from there. Well, since then, we've had a pretty good bump on the head from the railing. I can keep him off the stairs, but I can't keep him away from the railing on the outside. Although one good thing is that big sister Savannah is a pretty good tattler when he's around them...lol.. Hope you like it.. And here's what I used.
