I will be MIA for a week or two!!

Just a note to let you all know that I won't be doing much scrapping/blogging this week.  I had the little ones last week for 3 days and then my daughter's baby shower was all day Saturday.  So the only scrapping I got to do was on Sunday, and the only layouts I did were for my next two Friday Challenges over at Practical Scrappers.   My SIL and her husband are coming down from OK this week so I won't be able to scrap this next weekend either.  But I can't wait for them to get here.  They are sooo much fun!!  We're going to do a lot of visiting, touring and eating, I'm not for sure in what order!!! lol  So unfortunately my scrapbooking is being put on the back burner.  :o(   I really, really wanted to squeeze in some of the fantastic challenges, and beautiful sketches, but I guess I'll have to play another time!!
Hugs to all!!

2 Page Baby Boy Blank Layout!

Hi everyone, hope your Saturday went well!!  It was beautiful here in south/central Texas, but I didn't get to enjoy much of it...  I am stressing out on everything I need to get done in the next 2 weeks..  I don't know about you, but when I have so many projects to get done, I seem to waste a lot of time just trying to decide which one to do first...  Since Amanda's Baby Shower is next Saturday, I thought I should get her shower card and maybe these layouts done this weekend, because Wed. Thurs. and Fri. I have the little grand kids and I KNOW I won't be scrapping on those days...  So tomorrow I will try and get the baby shower card done..  Then I will only have 2 Layouts, 1 Wedding Card, and 2 Mother's Day Cards, and any other layouts I want to throw in there...
Anyway, I know 4 people who are expecting a baby, and 3 of them are boys, and the 4th one doesn't want to know.  She's due next month...  Anyway, I thought it would be a nice gift to do a couple of scrap book layouts, but leave plenty of space for them to personalize it!!!  So this is my first set, I'm not for sure who I'm going to give it to...  Maybe Amanda next Saturday, maybe not!  May want to scrap her little one with actual photos..  Just don't know yet!!
This also qualifies for a few challenges out there, which are:
A Spoon Full of Sugar ~ One for the Boys
My Time to Craft ~ On The Spot
Creative Inspirations Wednesdays ~ Green ~ Brown ~ Blue
Pile It On ~ Say It With Words ~ No Image
Here's my scrappy list of items I used on this sweet 2 page baby boy layout

Hello everyone!!!  Another Friday, and another wonderful challange over at Practical Scrappers!!  This week we are using markers ~ any kind/any color!!  I used three (3) different kinds on this sweet layout of GD Savannah.  I used Copic Marker ~ brown~ to color in the word BELIEVE that was already printed on this beautiful Webster's Pages~Winter's Wings Vellum paper, but then I used stickles over it and you can't see it very well, but it did make it darker and that was what I was after anyway...  Then I used my Inkssentials Opaque White Pen to doodle around the photo, and finally I used my SU Rose Red Marker around the edges of the large flowers.....
This is yet another photo of little Savannah that was taken the end of January, 2010, at The Smile House in San Marcos...  She looooooves to dress up, so her mother decided to do a setting with her dressed in her princess dress...  I think they turned out adorable..  I hope you like it!!!!

These boots were made for walking... ~ Practical Scrappers Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!!  I hope you had a wonderful Easter and now it's back to the old grindstone for most of us!!!  I created this layout from this weeks sketch over at Practical Scrappers..  It's another awesome sketch from Ann-Katrin!!  Here is her sketch!!
Everytime I look at these cute photos of my GD Savannah and her Aunt, my DD Amanda, that were taken Christmas, 2007, I can't help but think of the Nancy Sinatra song "These Boots Were Made For Walking"!!!! lol  So, that's what I decided to call this layout!!!    Savannah already has most of us wrapped around her little finger, it's just going to be a matter of time before she "walks all over" us, too!!!   lol  She really is a sweetheart!!!
One more thing I have to get off of my chest ~ First of all, this song was just a little before my time!!  And second,  I was having a little trouble putting a title to this layoutt...  I went to the web to get the song  lyrics and then I printed it off, (memory not as good as it used to be) so I would get it right on the layout!!  Has anyone ever noticed or even wondered why the title is "These Boots Were Made For Walking", but the lyrics say "these boots are made for walking" , and I don't see anywhere in the song where they use were made for walking..  So what's up with that???  It's just tooo confusing for my little brain!!!  So I decided the title would be the same as the song, but the words are like what's in the song...   Okay, enough already about the song  ~ I hope you like the layout as much as I liked creating it!!
This layout also qualifies for a few of the challenges floating around out there in blog land, which are:
Creative Card Crew Challenge ~ Vintaged / Aged  ~ I did a lot of distressing on this one!!
Meljen's Designs ~ Anything Goes
Pollycraft Monday ~ Anything Goes
Here is my list of scrappy things I used, and I used a lot of Basic Grey PP on this one:

Amanda ~ One Competitive Little Girl ~ Stuck On U Sketches

Hello everyone!!  It's a gorgeous day here in south/central Texas, the temperature is 85 degrees!!  It looks like we may just skip over spring again, and go right into summer!  That's okay with me, I like warmer/hotter weather better than  cold weather!!
Here is a layout I did for the sketch challenge over at  Stuck On U Sketches.  This week the sketch is by Jolene Pienaar. And what a beautiful sketch it is!!!!

The photos are of my daughter when she was 6 years old and we lived in New Mexico. That would have been 22 years ago!!  (Wow, now I'm really feeling depressed..  That's my baby!!)  She was so happy in this photo because her team had just won a little baton twirling competition...  Can you believe I still have this little outfit.....  Anyway, after that, I enrolled her in gymnastics and wow, did she do good.  She was competing in Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Las Cruses, Carlsbad...  and had just moved up from Level 5 to Level 6 and she was only 7 years old when we moved here to Texas..   She has quite the collection of trophies and ribbons!!! And it all started right here when she was 6 years old.
This layout also qualifies for a few challenges, which are:
The Craft Garden ~ Pastel Colors
Here is a  list of scrappy things I used on this layout:

Colten's Easter Card ~ WOW It made the Top 5 over at Cupcake Craft Challenge

Hi Everyone!!  I finally finished Colten's Easter Card!!  Yea!!!  Not real fancy, but remember, he's only 16 months old, so I think he will love the little bunny!! This is a stamp from SU and it's called Serene Spring.  I stamped the image twice so that I could cut the little bunny out and pop him up, like he's looking out of the basket...  Hope you like it!!
This also looks like it will qualify for a few of the challenges out there, which are:
Cute Card Thursday ~ So Egg - citing ~  Easter theme or use an egg shape
Cupcake Craft Challenge ~ Spring or Easter with lots of Chocolate
 Here's my scrappy list:
SU Close to Cocoa CS
SU Apricot Appeal CS
My Minds Eye ~ DP
My Minds Eye ~ Jen Wilson's Girly Green PP
