Hello everyone!! It's Wednesday, so that means it's another Belli Challenge.. This week we have a wonderful sponsor, Shirleys2 Girls, and they provided us with a digi image of Mazie all decked out in her Halloween best.. We just needed to add the glitter and/or bling. I decided to color her with SU Markers and then add stickles all over her.. Then Icut her out and put her in a haunted house scene I made by embossing on my "eerie" paper from Basic Grey... I had a lot of fun making this, I hope you like it. Here's what I used.

Scrapbook Layout ~ Amanda's Wedding ~ Red Lipstick Lady ~ 52 Sketches-52 Weeks

Hi everyone. Hope you had a wonderful weekend... I had my little grand babies Saturday and today and they absolutely wore me out!! They are sooo busy and constantly on the move, and it might be that I'm getting just a little older.. But I had a wonderful time.. Anyway I started this layout awhile back for one of the sketch challenges on 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks, but I ruined the pictures I had, so I had to wait until my DD sent me the disc so I could print some more. And even though the challenge is over, I still wanted to complete this, because I think it's so darn cute.. You all have heard of the "RED HAT LADIES" Well, Amanda has an aunt that is the "RED LIPSTICK LADY". For as long as I can remember, anytime one of the nephews, and now nephews-in-law, and her son-in-law is around, (Aunt)Karen puts on her red lipstick and gives them a real "big" kiss on the check. Well this was the first time she meet Jason, and as you can see, he's just a little embarrassed, but he took it very well.. And she even gave Amanda one, too. Karen is soo much fun and my kids love her to pieces... Okay, so here's what I used.

Scrapbook Layout, 52 Sketches - 52 Weeks Challenge

Hi everyone... We are getting some much needed rain here in Texas, and some cool weather... I'm lovin' it and it's perfect for scrapping.. So here's a layout I did for this weeks sketch over at 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks. Julie creates an amazing new sketch every week.. If you have time, check it out... Now, I took these pictures Sunday of my little 4 year old GD Savannah riding on her remote control/manual airplane. My DH and I got her this 2 years ago for Christmas, but this is the very first day that she actually got on it and rode it herself... Because she wouldn't ride it, my DS and DDIL brought it out to our house. I believe they said " You bought it, you store it"..lol. She really did have a lot of fun riding it around our wrap-around porch, and I foresee many more rides to come... Anyway, here's what I used:
SU Pacific Point CS
Reminisce ~ Under the Sea ~ Neptunes Wrath - It looked like clouds in the sky to me!!

This is my second SWAP and I'm looking forward to it. You meet so many wonderful and creative ladies... Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention - San Marcos, TX - MY LOOT

OMGosh everyone. Yesterday I totally forgot that the Creating Keepsakes Scrapbook Convention was in San Marcos, Texas this weekend at the new Convention Center. Well, I guess you know where I've been all day... You guessed it!! And was I like a kid in a candy store.... They had some fabulous buys... I originally went to try to decide on some dp for my Christmas Cards and to get an idea on a card I need to get made for a swap that I signed up for next month... Well, that went right out the window as soon as I walked in and started up and down the Aisles.. OMWord... It was just too much... As you can see I got a good variety of things and I did find some paper for my card for the swap. Now I need to get it designed and then cut 40 more out... Anyway, I have a layout started and will try to upload in the morning, but for now I have to find a place to put all of these wonderful things...

Our Baltimore, Maryland and Washington DC Vacation.. Visiting Baltimore Inner Harbor, Lincoln Memorial and the Capital Building

Hi everyone... I've been on vacation this last week and I had a wonderful time. But, we are so glad to be back home. We went to Washington D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. Here are a few of the pictures I took.
The first one is of the Capital Building.... I think this picture turned out beautiful.

The second picture is the Lincoln Memorial... This is something everyone needs to see. Absolutely amazing..

And the last picture is a view from the water taxi in the Baltimore Inner Harbor of the skyline. We were lucky enough to stay right on the harbor... Just beautiful..
We couldn't have asked for better weather. It rained on us a little on Friday morning, but other than that, it was gorgeous...
I promise to get something uploaded tomorrow. The kids came over today, but, still I did manage to get something almost done. My DD helped me put it together, so be sure and stop back by tomorrow...

My Dad's 80th Birthday Card.

OMGoodness everyone, I have completed all my projects that I needed to get done this weekend... WHOO HOO!! This is the last one, and really the one I had no idea on what I was going to do. This month my dad will be 80 years old, and so I wanted to make a card that he could reflect back on and actually see himself , and I think that I have succeeded. This card makes me swell with pride and actually gives me goosebumps. It is soooo my dad!! My dad is the reason I am the person I am today, he has a heart of gold, but still believes in so many of the true family values... such as, hard work, respect for other people, love who you are and don't try to be someone you're not, and love those that are dear to you. My dad is all of these things and much more. And when I found these Pebbles Inc. Snapshots they reminded me so much of my dad and my childhood, so I knew I was going to use them somehow on his birthday card. I just wish I could be there on his birthday, but since I can't, I will be there in spirit, and of course, on the phone... I hope you enjoy my card... Here's what I used:

Scrapbook Page - the race is on.

Hello everyone, hope you are having a wonderful weekend.. Our son and dil and grand babies went on vacation and our dd and sil are out at the lake with his side of the family, so it's pretty quiet around here. So I get to do a little scrapping. This is a page I did of Colten 9 months, and Savannah 4 years. This was taken a couple of weeks ago when I was babysitting them.. Colten can't walk on his own, yet, but boy when he pulls up to one of these little walkers, man can he fly. And then you put his big sister with him, and they're just like the energizer bunny, they keep going, and going, and going, and going... My pictures are a little fuzzy, but they wouldn't stand still long enough for me to take the picture and they kept trying to run over poor grandma...lol! They had a blast as you can tell. Anyway, here's the page I made, I hope you like it... (and btw now I can't get that Gorge Jones song out of my head ~ and the race is on.......)

Scrapbook Page ~ Hold a true friend with both hands..

Hello everyone. I hope you're relaxing a little now that the day is almost over. Here is a page I did for the sketch challenge over at 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks. This is actually the 2nd attempt at this sketch. Last night I was on a roll doing another page of my daughter's wedding album, when, I'm not for sure how, but I ruined the pictures that I was going to use. Well, I don't have these on my computer, and now, I have to wait until Amanda brings me the disc. So, I had to look for something else to scrap. This photo was on my fridge, and every time I looked at it I just had to chuckle. My DDIL mailed it to me back in June. It kind of looks like Savannah is hurting Colten, but she's not. She went through a phase of smiling this way when she knows you're going to take her picture. She also knows that I won't take her picture when she does this, but her mom took this one, and it actually turned out really cute. And you know that she's not hurting Colten by the big smile on his face. She's just making that evil little smile... And I thought this little phrase went sooo well with the photo. Now it really makes my chuckle... Anyway, I hope you enjoy it too, and here's what I used.
