Colten at 14 Months

Hi everyone, I finally got to just play around today with whatever I wanted to and so I decided to do the sketch challenge over at my favorite site.  Stuck On U Sketches has the most awesome sketches to play with and this week was no exception.  The sketch is from Becky Fleck and the twist for this week is BLING.  Wow, of all weeks for me to do a "boy" layout..  I almost forgot the bling, had to go back and add it at the last minute!! lol.
This is a picture of little Colten taken the end of January.  He's 14 months old and such and cutie pie..  Especially in his overalls and with his little chunky baby feet!!  Such a sweetheart..  It was taken at The Smile House in San Marcos, Texas, by Laura Kay Wootan.  She does amazing work...  Anyway, grandma chose a few photos to scrap, so you will be seeing more of Colten and some of Savannah in the near future...  Sorry this didn't come out all that well.  It's cloudy here today and the photo keeps coming out too dark.. But, oh well, let me just tell you that little Colten is just a doll!!
Here are a few challenges this layout qualifies for:
Stuck On U Sketches ~ Sketch
Allsorts Challenge ~ Just For Men (young or old)
Pile It On ~ Lucky Me ~ I'm the luckiest grandma to have such a sweetie pie grandson
Crafty Ann's Challenge ~ Try a New Technique, Product, Machine  ~ I actually made most of my embellies with by cricut ~ If you know anything about me, I don't use my Cricut much at all ~ I'm very intimidated by it.
Quixotic Challenge ~ Leave It Out ~ Use leaves on your project  ~ Swirl has leaves on it!
Tellen's Place ~ Bling It On
And here is a list of scrappy supplies I used on this little creation:
Most of the paper is from K & Company ~ Life's Journey DP Stack  ~ This paper is sooo vintage - I love it!!
Basic Grey ~ Sugared/Loved ~ The red behind the photo & the plane
Karen Foster Disign ~ Christmas Sketch ~ Windmill -
Brayered with SU Chocolate Chip Ink
SU Always Artichoke ~ Swirl
Bazzill Dark Brown CS ~ Barbed Wire Fence
I used the following inks for distressing~ SU Close to Cocoa Ink, SU Ruby Red Ink, SU Basic Brown Ink, Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distressing Ink,
Creative Imaginations ~ Marah Johnson ~ Letters
Cuttlebug ~ Floral Borders
Prima ~ Say It In Pearls
Prima Painterly Petals Hydrangeas ~ Cream
Button
Cricut Cartridges:
Heritage ~ Windmill, Plane and Swirl
Old West ~ Barbed Wire and Partial Old Wagon Wheel
Thank you all so much for dropping by!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!!
I love your visits, so please drop by anytime!!!
Hugs  :o)

First let me say your grandson is a doll. Your layout is adorable, I thought the plane and windmill were metal, great job! Shari (cricutrookie)

Colton really IS a little cutie!!! And, you do the most gorgeous layouts! I wish you lived near so you could teach me. I'm inspired to do them, but I just don't think I can do them justice! I just make albums for the photos/layouts to go into. Go figure!

Anyway, that LO is gorgeous!

I'll be seeing you!

This is a fantastic layout Fern and colten is just adorable - I don't think you need to be his Gran to be smitten! I would never have believed that you're intimidated by your cricut, well done there and thank you for making Crafty Ann's one of your challenges.

Fern, what a gorgeous page layout you have done. Think you should become better friends with your Cricut as the shapes on here are fab.

Thank you for taking the time to enter this into the Crafty Ann's Challenge this fortnight. I was lucky enough to be a Guest Designer this month so I am looking at all the lovely creations and seeing how others interpreted the challenge.

Take care and my best wishes, Kym xxx
