Hi everyone!!! I have a layout to share with you that I've done for the February Sketch challenge over at Stuck?!

  Here's their sketch...

I had these cute photos of little GD Savannah taken last year of her kindergarten end of year field trip.  Her mother wasn't able to attend so I was lucky enough to tag along with her.  Afterwards they let the parents take their child/children so we wouldn't have to go all the way back to town/school..  So Savannah and I decided to top it off with a movie...  I had a lot of fun that day and I hope she did too!!!

Here are a few close ups...

Here you can see some Distressed Edges, Masking with the Crafters Workshop Chicken Wire Template and Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distess Ink, some of the Sewing and my Tag with SU Ribbon..

More Distress Edges, Masked Background, Sewing, and Fussy Cut Flowers...

A Little Boy and his Best Friend ~ Frosted Designs

Hi Everyone!!  Today we have another sketch reveal over at Frosted Designs and this one is a lot of fun.. It's by team member Jenny and here it is...

Look at all of those layers!!!! Remember, you can follow it closely or just use it for inspiration!!  This was kinda different for me because of all of the layers, I didn't distress anything but instead layered them all with black..  Love the little extra pop it gave the layout.  Also only used 2 photos and opted for a DA chippie instead of a banner.  I used photos of little Colten taken while he was at my house.  He had spent the night  and he loves to sleep with that little puppy, so of course he came too.  Well the next morning he wanted to take him outside to play with him but Grandma wouldn't let him.  So the next thing I know we was playing with him thru the window.  It was too cute!!  You know, these little guys are a lot smarter than we think they are!!! :o)

Here are a few close ups...

Here is a list of scrappy things I used on this layout..
Stampin' Up ~ Basic Black CS
Stampin' Up ~ Sage Shadow CS
All other paper is from..
Stampin' Up Nouveau Chic DSP  (Retired)

Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch
The Paper Studio Stick On Letters
Black Gems
Ribbon

Be sure and check out the inspiration from the other girls and check out the wonderful prize we have for you over at Frosted Designs.
I'm sorry this is a quick post, but I'm still trying to figure out my new computer.  Change is hard for me as I get older!! :o(

Hi everyone!!!!  I've got some wonderful news to share with you today!!  As of today I am officially back on the awesome Stuck On U Sketches (SOUS) Design Team and I couldn't be happier!!  I've totally missed working with these wonderful ladies..  Thank you for having me back!!   And what a wonderful sketch for me to start with, which is actually a double page sketch, by our very talented Leah..

And remember, for those of you who love to scrap with a lot of photos, this double page sketch is perfect for you..  But for those of you who would rather just do a single page at a time, don't worry, you can play as well.   I chose to just do a one page layout using the left sketch...
For my layout I used photos of my little GS Colten taken March, 2011.  Colten wanted a ride on the tractor soooo bad, but his daddy and grandpa were building fence and didn't have time right then.  But, just so you know, later on in the evening he did get his tractor ride!!  I mean, who could say no to this face?!!!  Too cute!
Here are a few close ups.....
Here you can see that I recycled the outer part of a DA Piece, which I painted with acrylic paint and then sanded it down..  You can also see some of my fussy cut flowers, 3-D Bird and Nest, Tag with Button, Twine and Close pin, and a little bit of the Magic Mesh..

More of the recycled DA Frame, DA Flourish, and a MS Butterfly with stickles on it..

Good morning everyone!!   Wow, a lot has happened since the last time I posted.  Last Wednesday our farm flooded!!!  Yep...  We got 4.5 inches of rain over there and that was fine, but, about 5 miles north, one little town got 9 inches and another got 8 inches and so when you have all that runoff into the creek that runs along the back of our property, well, you know what happens...  At the end of my post I have a few photos my husband took.... But for now I want to share with you a layout I made for the Corrugated/Crimped Layout Reveal over at Practical Scrappers!!  I decided to scrap this cute photo my DD took of little Zach.  Not for sure where it was, I think at his other Grandma's house.  When I saw it, this old Steppenwolf song came to mind, so that's what I went with...
Here are a few close ups....

Here are a few lyrics..  Some Distressed Edges, frayed Burlap, and a Jillibean Soup Corrugated Letter.

Distressed Edges, Corrugated Cardboard, Jillibean Soup Corrugated Letters, Tag with some of the frayed Burlap stapled to it..

And now here are a few of those photos of our farm taken last Wednesday..

No, this is not a lake..  It's our bottom land...
Photo taken around 7:00 AM

Yep, this is the road...  It was closed until Saturday...  At this time you couldn't even see our cross fence.. it was totally under water...

We just bought the place last October, and Rick wanted to re-fence it.. Just not yet...  But it totally layed the fences over..  The girls (cows) had to stay in the lot until we could get the fence back up..  But they were safe!!  (Look at those 2 pecan trees.... I have a picture of them below after the water recedes)

It's hard to believe that the stock tank is under all that trash....

This is one of the fence lines.. They all pretty much looked like this...
Saturday, Rick and I along with our son, Levi, worked all day, and then Sunday, Rick and I worked our butts off so we could get the girls out of the lot.  They are now in the upper pasture, the bottom one is way to boggy and we couldn't get in there to work..  Here is what the upper pasture looks like now...

This is the same fence line as shown above, but I'm looking down it, instead of up..  We didn't have to replace the fence, just put in more tee post..  We will replace it later on in the spring/summer... but for now it will keep the girls in...

Cross fence is up and the burn pile is the trash and debris we got out of it...  Rick also found a dead wild pig caught in the fence..  We also found a snake and a salamander..
We were just thankful no one was hurt in the flood and we are going to definitely enjoy the benefit we get out of it next summer....

That's all I have to now!!
Have a great day!!
Hugs!!
