Colten ~ Stuck On U Sketches Challenge

Hi everyone!!  I don't think I have to tell you it's Friday, but I do want to tell you that it's time for another wonderful sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches!!   And this weeks sketch is from PageMaps

and it has a lot of possibilities...  I switched the photo and the title/journaling side because of the way Colten was facing...  The photo of GS Colten was taken December 30, 2010 and the weather was in the low 70's..  I kept the kids that day because daycare and school was still closed for the Christmas holiday...  Colten was having so much fun playing in the sand, he didn't even notice I had taken his picture.. If he had noticed, he would have turned his head or put his hand over his face!!  He just doesn't like his picture taken!!

Although I don't have a lot of intricate details on this layout, I hope you enjoy the following close ups...

here you can see the Dusty Attic Chipboard, part of the distressed edges and some of the punched borders..

Some more of the punched borders, distressed edges and chipboard letters.

file tab, distressed edges, punched borders..

and here you can see the 7 gypsies chipboard pieces..

Here are a few other challenges this will qualify for:
By The Cute and Girly ~ Bling it on... I added rhinestones
Creative Inspirations ~ Something new
Fab 'n' Funky ~ Anything goes
Papertake Weekly ~ Anything goes with an option of lace
The Shabby Tea Room ~  Welcome to 2011 ~ use 11 elements

Here is the scrappy list of things I used on this layout:
Bazzill Cardstock ~ burgundy
BoBunny ~ Noel Collection......  I Love this collection!!!!
The gold paper is Basic Grey, don't know the name..
My Minds Eye ~ Lost & Found Collection- under photo..
Tim Holtz Distresser
MS Daisy Fan Border Punch
MS Garden Trellis Border Punch
Cuttlebug Floral Borders
Cuttlebug
Dusty Attic ~ Birds on Limb
7 Gypsies Bookends
Spellbinders Nestabilities ~ Large Deckled Rectangles
Tim Holtz Distressed Inks
Chipboard letters from stash
McGill File Tab Punch
Black Rhinestones

Be sure and check out the fabulous layouts from the other Design Team Members...  And we would love for you to play along..... remember you have 2 weeks..  Be sure and upload it so we can see it!!
Thanks so much for dropping by..
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Hugs!

I've been trying to get the right words to tell you how much I love this page, but they are elusive today. I'm constantly impressed by your ability to mix distress and lovely elements and keep that perfect photo as the focal point.

I have to tell you that I have never made a list of things I have done/used for a LO and when I see those that have made a list, I'm like...wow, that's a lot of stuff! LMBO!
Amazing at how much we can do in a project, when you think about it!

I love this and all the details, the border punches I think are so very smart of a use for the sketch. And the story behind the photo is even better! I want you to be MY Grandma! LOL! okay, not possible...LOL!
