Grandma's Blessings ~ Sketch Along Tuesday @ Frosted Designs

Hi everyone!  It's Tuesday and that means time for another Sketch Along Tuesday over at Frosted Designs.  This weeks sketch was created by Debbie and it's a good one...  Sooooo many possibilities with this one.. Just see for yourself.

And as you can see I turned my photo the opposite way and then just had a little fun with it..  The photo is of me with all of my little grand kids taken a couple of weeks ago at Colten's B-day party... Of course we couldn't get him to stay still long enough to get a picture, so DH did the best he could and I think he did a fantastic job...  The day before was in the 80's and then it rained Friday night a little cold front came through with the wind blowing out of the north..  We were so afraid they would have to cancel the party, but it turned out beautiful after all...  Here I am holding little 5 month old Zach, Savannah (5 yrs) is petting the sweet baby goat, and Colten (2 yrs) is just having a blast chasing and trying to catch any and all of the animals....  I bet the little animals were ready to go home that day...
Really this layout is about CAS as I get...  and I since it is a layout of all my little ones I wanted to add something fun/whimsical to it... Hence the font and handmade flower...
So here are a few close-ups
Here is a close-up of the flower I made out of scrap material and a little piece of lace..  added a My Mind's Eye Brad in the middle...  You can also see a little of the distressed edge..
Here is the MS Daisy Fan punched decorative strip with My Mind's Eye Brads and lace..
And finally here you can see my different flourishes...  I used the Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes and Prima Say It In Pearls...  You can also see my title which are letters from Creative Imaginations - David Walker..

This layout also qualifies for a few other challenges such as:
Craft Your Days Away ~ Add Texture
Cute Card Thursday ~ Blast From The Past ~ I chose Challenge 133 - Oct. 7, 2010 ~ Make Your Own... (My handmade flower)
Fab n' Funky ~ Going with the Flow

Creative Imaginations -David Walker  ~ Letters
American Crafts - MiniMarks - Rub-ons
