Texas Day at School ~ Savannah, 2011 ~ WAS VOTED IN THE TOP 3 OVER AT CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS!!

Hi everyone!!  I hope you are having a wonderful week!  I have another layout to share with you and this time I used the current sketch over at Creative Scrappers.. I also used a lot of the items from the prize package I won over there on Sketch No. 184...  Don't you just love these beautiful papers and colors?!!!!
Here's the sketch..
I think this is a beautiful sketch!!

I also used a "brand new" challenge site called CSI Challenge for this layout, which is...

You have to use all of the  "Scheme" colors...
At least 2 items from the "Evidence" list..
At least 1 item from the "Testimony" list..
I had so much fun playing along in this challenge... and you can be sure I will be participating in more of their challenges!!

For this layout I chose to scrap a b/w photo of my little GD Savannah taken last year.  It was Texas Day at her school and they played lots of games and did some fancy foot work (dancing) which she loves to do..

Here are a few close ups..
Here you can see some of my Distressed Edges, Prima Flowers, a Shabby Chic Treasures Metal Birdcage from Prima, Stick Pins, a portion of the Dusty Attic Die Cut Frame, some Ruffled Ribbon, and part of a Martha Stewart Vintage Floral Punched Border..

Here you can see more Distressed Edges, a portion of the fussy cut circle,  a portion of the DA die cut Frame, Prima Masks (Brick) with SU Old Olive Ink, and Prima Say It In Pearls colored with Copics Marker.

Here you can see more Distressed Edges, Ruffled Ribbon, Martha Stewart Vintage Floral Border Punch, DA die cut Frame, K&Company Brenda Walton Dimensional Bird Sticker, Sizzix Die Cut Tag, Ribbon, and Tag.

This layout will qualify for a few challenges, such as...
Scrapbookers Anonymous ~ Masking and (Ink, Misting or Paint) I used Ink..
Pollycraft Monday ~ Anything But a Card
Papertake Weekly ~ Die Cut Special
One Stop Craft Challenge ~ Bingo (I used Distressing/Diecuts-Punches/Charms-Pins)
Creative Inspiration ~ Swirls and Pearls

My list of scrappy things I used on this layout are...
SU Dusty Durango CS
Les Editions Infocrea ~ Sultane Collection - Nature
My Mind's Eye ~  Lime Twist
Dusty Attic ~ Die Cut Frame
Prima ~ Flowers
Prima ~ Shabby Chic Treasures Metal Birdcage

Beautiful page Fern. Love the soft green with the vibrant orange contrast in the flowers and pearls. Hoping to have a play with this sketch too, if I can find my mojo. I think I left it in Scotland with my Granddaughters... LOL Hugs x
