Hi everyone!!! Are we having fun over at Practical Scrappers this week, or what?!!!! I hope you have had a chance to check out all of the beautiful work being featured this week during our 2nd Anniversary Week... If not you can check it out here, while you there be sure and check out the sidebar for upcoming features!!!
Okay a little about my layout... I did this layout for the Online Recipe Challenge that went on all week over at Practical Scrappers... Everyday starting Monday, Christine gave us 2 items to use on a layout...
Monday ~

Background - More Mustard CS
Butterfly - MS Butterfly in More Mustard CS
Sizzix Vine in Mellow Moss CS
Tim Holtz Elegant Flourishes in Mellow Moss CS
Patterned Paper ~ Pink Paislee - Butterfly Garden
Stampin' Up More Mustard Designer Paper
Tuesday ~
Flower(s) ~ Prima
Ribbon ~ Offray - Kendra Orange/Opal, Lace Trim
Wednesday ~
Button(s) ~ Red Craft Button
Bling ~ Prima Say It In Pearls, Dew Drops, Stickles, Liquid Pearls
Thursday ~
Stickers ~ Letters
Ink ~ Stampin' up More Mustard Ink, Tim Holtz Distress Ink
Friday ~
Floss/Twine ~ Used it to lace my background paper and on my button
Something Red ~ I waited until Saturday's reveal to see what I was going to add... Ended up adding the red jewels around the chipboard frame!!
Saturday ~
Brad(s) ~ Added brads to the butterfly wings
Chipboard ~ Chipboard Frame
- I used Stampin' Up Mellow Moss ink, and doodled around the edges with the Stampin' Up Journal Marker (Ink).. And added red jewels (something red)...
I got a little hesitant on a couple of items... I had already added the red button and really wasn't going to add any more red, but then Friday, when one of the items was just the color red... I had to just sit back and wait for Saturday's list... It worked out fine by just adding the red jewels around the chipboard frame!!!
This challenge was so different, but at the same time a lot of fun!!! I hope you got to play along!!!
The layout is of my daughter back in 1989, when she was 7 years old.. I also made the dress she is wearing in this photo. I sewed a lot of her dresses when she was young. I haven't sewed in years!
