Dear Santa ~ 1984 --Sketches In Thyme Challenge

Hi everyone!! It's Thursday and that means it's time for another sketch challenge over at Sketches In Thyme!!!  This week we have a wonderful sketch from

Here are a few close-ups of my layout

Here is a close up of the Poinsettias, the Prima, and the frame, which  is actually recycled chipboard..  It  had quite a few skinny chipboard frames in it and this is the part you throw away, but I decided to ink this up and use it as a frame...  These are my cute little kids back in 1984...  I can't believe that Levi is now 31 and Amanda will soon will be 29...

Here is a close up of 2 of those cute buttons from our sponsor this month Charlene's Button Box...   They are so cute and she has so many different designs..  Be sure and browse her etsy shop..  You can also see the little ornament stickers that I added..

Here is a close-up of some of my distressing!!

This layout will qualify for a few other challenges out there:
Fab 'n' Funky ~ Quick and Easy does it..
Paper Play Challenges ~ Anything But a Card
Punky Scraps ~ Recipe -- I used Buttons, Ribbon and Cardboard (chipboard frame)

Here is the list of scrappy things I used:
Webster's Pages ~ Home for the Holidays Collection ~ December Journal
BoBunny ~ Noel Collection ~ Joy
Chipboard scrap frame
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist
Prima Holiday Vine
Holiday Time ~ Poinsettias
Charlene's Button Box ~ Holly Leaf Buttons
SU Ribbon
MS Double Loops Border and Corner Punch
EK Success Letters

Remember here is what you're playing for this month... But you have to play before you can win!!!

And also, please check out what the other girls did with the sketch and then why not give it a try..  We would love to see your interpretation...

I would also like to invite you back on Saturday.  I'm giving a tutorial over at Sketches in Thyme and I would love for you to try it!!  I will be showing you a few cards and layouts of examples...

Have a wonderful day!!
Hugs!!!

Gorgeous! Like I totally love this...I always think your details are so neat and love the combo' of things.
Funny too b/c some times (and this may be just terribly shocking for some) but I get sick of all the flowers but I really think your floral touches are always perfectly done!!!!

So....ready for Christmas? Just a couple more projects to work on and some, and by that I mean ALL of my wrapping still to do! And I am done! LOL!

Why is it that they have to grown up on us anyway? LOL I guess so that we can have grandkids, huh? Totally love this page and the WP Dear Santa paper .. I haven't scrapped in so long (except for next Friday) ... not sure I remember how ... soon, Santa, soon ...
