Lil' Colten's Birthday Roundup ~ SOUS

Hi everyone, it's Friday and that means that it's time for another fabulous sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches!!
And it's a beauty,  Oh, did I  mention this sketch was also created by Vanessa Waller (Crafty Ness) exclusively for SOUS!!
So here's what I came up with...  This cute layout of little GS Colten  is from his 2nd B-day Party just 2 weeks ago..  His parents rented a petting zoo and he had a blast... so did all of the other little kids and even the "BIG" kids got in on the fun!!!  I love the fact that this weeks sketch had multiple photos... it worked perfect with these precious photos..
Here are a few close-ups
Here you can see the paper flowers, the Prima vine, and the rabbit and the goat are stickers from Creative Imaginations.  You are also able to see the SU Weathered BG Stamped on the Sign cut from the Cricut Old West Cart.

I thought the feed sacks turned out too cute... They are also cut from the Old West Cricut Cart. and then are sponged with Tim Holtz Walnut Distressing Ink.

here is a close up of the Chipboard frame I used around this super cute photo of Colten hand feeding the baby goat !!  All together now....  AWWWWW

Here are few challenges this layout will qualify for:
A Spoon Full of Sugar ~ Anything Goes
Tip Top Tuesday ~ Layer upon Layer

Here is the list of scrappy things I used
The Paper Loft ~ Now & Then Collection
The Paper Loft ~ Grandma's House
Creative Imaginations ~ Petting Zoo Stickers
Old West Cricut Cart.
Paper Flowers
Prima Vine
EK Success Letters
SU Weathered BG Stamp
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink ~ Walnut
Netting from stash also inked with
Tim Holtz Distressing Ink ~ Walnut
Thanks so much for dropping by and be sure and check out the beautiful layouts from the other DT members.... We would love to have you play along and if you do, please upload it so we can see your beautiful take on the sketch..  Remember you have 2 weeks to play...
Have a wonderful weekend!!!
Hugs!!

Awwww! I really like your choice of soft tones. All the details still come to attention but don't distract from your adorable GS.

Hi Fern, I'm so happy to be back in Blogland. I've really missed hopping over to your blog while I've been away, but I'm back in full swing now.....

Colten looks like he had a blast on his birthday, with all those animals - and of course your layout showcases it beautifully - you really do have a natural gift when it comes to turning these 'difficult' photo's into stunning layouts - beautiful.....

Hugs Jane xx

Well, well, well.... another gorgeous layout of your, Fern!
You do an amazing work with vintage look for boy/man pages. I should take some classes with you, how to make vintage layouts about my boys. It seems like I'm on the vintage style only when it comes to scrapping my photos or my parents...
I love the strip dp and the frame for the big photo. And as always - the distressing is perfect.
The flowers and the vine add so much color and softness, contrasting the colors of the whole lo.
Beautiful!
And Happy Be-lated-day to your grandson! It sure looks as if he had a lot of fun!
Hugs
