Celebrate ~ Sketchabilities No. 74

Hi everyone!!  Today is sort of a sad day for me.... This will be my last post as a DT member for Sketchabilities... :o(   In fact this is the last challenge over at Sketchabilities for the summer.  Blog Owner, Karan Gerber, has decided to take a little break --  But don't worry, hopefully Karan will be doing a DT Call in August and we can all start scrapping those beautiful sketches of hers again!!

Okay, no more sad news...  Let's take a look at the sketch for the next 2 weeks...
   Here it is...

For this layout I decided to use some of GD Savannah's Birthday photos!!!  She is such a ham when there is a camera around... But it makes for some fun photos!!!!

Here are some close ups!!!

Zach ~ One Cool Dude

Hi everyone!!  I hope you're staying cool this summer.  Here in Texas we had 109 degrees yesterday and 106 degrees today!!!!  Way too hot to do anything outdoors.. But I still have to check on the cows to make sure the floats in their water tanks are working.  By the time I walk around over there and head back home I'm soaking wet and you can wring my hair out!!  I hate that!!!

Anyway, I've been checking out the Flying Unicorn site out and they have Mojo Monday every week and you use their sketch..  Well, they have some beautiful ones, and I just decided to play this week...

Here's their sketch, and this one was created by Alda Stevens..

Lots of layers here...  I really wanted to make a girly layout using this sketch, but with 2 little grandsons I decided I needed to try and create a "boy" layout.. As you can see, I layered my layers a little different than the sketch...    But that's okay!

Here are a few close ups.....

Top Right...  Martha Stewart Swirling Lace Border/Corner Punches, Distressing, Gems, K&Company Butterfly, and Computer Journaling.

Hi everyone!!  It's Friday and that means another wonderful sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches!!  This one is from our Co-Leader Sandi Clarkson, and you can do, ooooh, so many things with it!!!

Here is the sketch...

Now, if you are familiar with my layouts, you know I don't do CAS layouts very often.... It's not because I don't like them... I really do...  In fact, I love the way your main focus is on the photos on a CAS layout...  I just usually try to add more layers and embellies on my layouts...  But when I saw this sketch from Sandi, I loved the simplicity of it and therefore decided to see if I could  make a layout focusing on the photo only, but still wanted it to be pretty.  I must say it was a little hard for me, and I still think I need to add more...  not for sure what..  But this is what I come up with!!!

Here are a few close ups..

Top...  Martha Stewart Wild Flowers Punched Border and Corners, Bazzill Die Cut Strip, Cabochons, K&Company Brenda Walton Cardstock Bees..
