Sketches In Thyme Challenge 42 ~ Team "B"

Good morning everyone!!  Today is my last day of work, :o)  and I won't lie to you, it's been a very stressful week!!!   At first I was a little scared, but now, I can't wait and I'm soooooooo excited to start this new phase of my life...  And I think Rick is just as excited as I am... Which makes it that much easier to do this!!!  Okay enough about me..... 
The real reason of this post is to let you know we have another awesome sketch over at Sketches In Thyme....

Beach Babe ~ Sketches In Thyme

Hello everyone!!  Today we have an easy challenge over at Sketches In Thyme...  It's  open sketch week... and that means you can use any sketch you want to, just be sure you upload the sketch along with your layout!!!  This was a perfect opportunity for me to use another one of my sketches!!  I'm having a lot of fun designing these and if you like them feel free to use them, you can check 'em out under "my sketches" in the tool bar under my header...  Okay, nuff about that..  Here's the sketch I designed...

I decided to use some photos of little GD Savannah taken back on July 8, 2008, right before she turned 3 years old.  She has always loved cowboy hats, and I thought these were just precious...  

 Here are a few close ups... 

Here you can see the prima flowers and leaves layered over the Sizzix Tim Holtz Die.. And you can see a little of the distressed edges...


Another Prima Flower and leaves, sticker litters, Ribbon, a Basic Grey Stitched Brad, Cuttlebug Floral Borders, Spellbinders Shapeabilities Pendants (under small photos), and finally more distressing!!!

Here is my cute umbrella I cut from Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge, added lace and more Cuttlebug Floral Borders, Sun Glasses sticker, SU spiral paper punch, Metal butterfly (jewelry from Hobby Lobby), and more distressing..

Little Man of Mischief

  I can't believe I have another layout to share with you today!!  Since I had the day off I just decided to do something that's not for any of the design teams, but just for me... I haven't done that in a looong time...  I had this BoBunny paper out on my counter and really wanted to use it with these sweet photos of Colten taken at daycare...  So I went on over to the BoBunny challenge site to see what was going on over there, and decided to play along with their Layout Challenge Friday.. This is my take on using their sketch...

Here is a key from Explore by Traditions.. You can also see that I stamped on the one of the layers and that I ran the strips through the crimper.  I also cut the frame off of the Cambridge Crown Die Cut piece..

And finally here is one of the gorgeous Petaloo Flowers I won from Jane over at Scossie Jane!!  Thank you soooo much sweet Jane!!!  I love 'em..  So blue and so beautiful!!!!

Grandma's Little Knuckle Heads ~ Sketch Along Tuesday--Frosted Designs

Hi everyone!!  It's time for another Sketch Along Tuesday over at Frosted Designs and this time we have an awesome sketch from Diana using multiple photos!  So, for those of you who love to scrap more than 1 photo at a time, this one's for you!!!!
Here it is...

Here are a few close ups of my layout...
Here is a little embellishment that I picked up at Hobby Lobby... He is layered over a few leaves that I fussy cut from the background paper.  You can also see some of the MS Deco Fan Border punched edges, some of the lace,  Webster's Trim, and some of the small stick on letters..


Here are some of the Spellbinders Leaves that are sponged with ink to show their beautiful detail.  A journaling tag, MS Deco Fan Border,   Lace,  and Webster's Trim..


Here I crossed out $4.00 and added the little sticker pumpkin and wrote "priceless" on it..  More Spellbinders Leaves, MS Deco Fan Border,  and stick on letters.


Here you can see some embossing I did on one of the tags...  It reads.. "Each day brings a harvest of new beginnings"  I also used Inkssentials White Gel Pen around the edges..  MS Deco Fan Border and Corner Punch, Sticker Letters, Spellbinders Leaves.

Daisy Troop 899 ~ Stuck On U Sketch Challenge

Hello everyone!!!  Happy Friday!!  It's time for another fun and fabulous sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches!!  Here is this weeks sketch...

I had a lot of fun with this sketch...
Here are a few close up of my layout..
Here you can see a portion of my stenciling under the Spellbinders - Shapeabilities--Fair Isle Pendant which I used Adirondack Acrylic Paint ~ Gold and some of the embroidering I did.  I have not done that in ages, but I actually had a lot of fun... The butterfly is a sticker with alittle bling swirl added under it...
Here you can see the flower cluster over the MS Deep Edge Daisy Fan Punched piece, and also see another butterfly sticker...

More embroidery work... I did a lot of French Knots!!

Zach at 3 months ~ Sketches In Thyme

Good morning everyone!!!  It's Thursday and that means it's time for another Sketches In Thyme sketch challenge!!    This weeks sketch is by PageMaps  and I really tried to follow it, but I wandered just a little bit...  I really wanted to show off this beautiful WP paper..  Remember, our sketch is for inspiration and/or a starting point...  Here's the original sketch...
I told you I wandered just a bit... lol..  I wanted to use some more of my beautiful WP papers...  It's really hard for me to design with... and I don't really know why, they are just soo beautiful...  Anyway I used the Lullaby Lane Vellum over SU Very Vanilla CS so you can see all of the details on the paper...

The butterfly and lace are fussy cut from BG Curio and I embossed the butterfly.  You can also see the My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found Brad and Webster's Trim.

There's Magic in Believing ~ Sketch Along Tuesday at Frosted Designs

Hi everyone!! It's Tuesday and that means it's time for another challenge over at Sketch Along Tuesday at Frosted Designs..  This weeks sketch is from Team Member Diana  and here's her wonderful sketch..
I was going to use the one photo in the middle and flank it on both sides with PP, but it didn't quite work out that way...  I decided to move the photo more over to one side and then add the extra WP paper...  Remember, you don't have to copy it verbatim..  take it and make it your own...  the only rule is have fun!!!!  And I had a lot of fun with this one...
I have been trying to use my Webster's Pages... I have the older collections, but just too scared to use them....  They are so beautiful and for me it's a challenge to scrap a layout and still be able to see the beautiful design...   But I will not buy any of the new ones until I use up some of the old...

A Smile that stops time ~ Stuck On U Sketches ~ A Top 3 over at CES Challenge!!


Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!  It's time for another wonderful sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches and it's a beauty!! And we have a special Guest Designer this week, be sure and check that out!!  Most of you will know her from the earlier days here at SOUS... I bet you already know who it is?!!!
Okay here's the beautiful sketch... 

I had a lot of fun using this one..... I decided to pull out the Webster's Pages!!  Here are a few close ups!

Here is a piece of Dusty Attic painted with crackle paint, Prima flowers, vine, and pearls.  You can also see part of the Hambly's Screen Print (hand silk), under the photo.

Here is a hair barrette that I took the clasp off, netting, and chipboard butterfly.  The little green heart was from one of my swirlydoos kits.

Chipboard glitter letters, another hair barrette and some more of that fun netting..
