Life in Black & White ~ Stuck On U Sketches

My Son and DIL went on a little Anniversary trip and so I've had and will have Colten and Savannah until late Sunday..  so this will be a short post.....

Happy Friday everyone!!  Today we have another sketch reveal over at Stuck On U Sketches and this one is by Guest Designer Debbie Burns and it's gorgeous!!!

To me, this one had Vintage written all over it and it was perfect since I've wanted to scrap more photos of my Mom and Dad in their early years.

I believe the photo is around their wedding day and the little girl in the middle is my Mom's Niece/Dad's Cousin.  You see my mom's older brother married my dad's aunt....  And this was possible because there were 15 kids in my mom's family and she was the youngest... So Uncle Earl was actually around the same age as my grandparents on my dad's side.   And, yes it was legal.... they were not related... We used to get some pretty strange looks when we would kid with you cousins, because they are our first and/or second cousins!!!  Just depended on if we were getting along or not!

Anyway, here are a few close ups.....

  2. Fern, this is a great layout. I have one in my family too: my Dad's mother died and my Mom's Father died and my Mom's Mother and Dad's Father married 1 yr. before my Mom and Dad were married. My Dad was in WW II at the time and when he arrived home he fell in love with his step sister. So I only had 1 set of grandparents! Great layout!
