Cowgirl in Training ~ Practical Scrappers Challenge Me Tuesday - Bingo x 2 AND WAS TOP 3 OVER AT CRAFT US CRAZY!!!

Hello everyone!!!  It's Tuesday and that means it's Challenge Me Tuesday over at Practical Scrappers..  This week we are playing Bingo with a slight twist!!!
Here is our Bingo Card...   And since it's our 2nd Anniversary you have to do your 3 in a row twice..  and only twice..  I chose right down the middle with Buttons, Ribbons and Punches... So I have to use 2 of each of those items and only 2..

I also chose to scrap the rest of the photos I took of granddaughter Savannah on November, 2010. She was showing me her rope tricks and let me tell you she was pretty salty!!! I scrapped one of the photos awhile back, so I decided to do a page to go with that one... When I buy scrap paper I always buy extra for just that reason... So luckily I had some more of this BoBunny paper.. Actually I still have a few more pages of this design, because I luv it!! And just because it says "Noel Rejoice"... doesn't mean it's just for Christmas... Anyway I don't think so...

Here are a few close ups...............

Here you can see the 2 clear buttons with twine, some of the distressed edges, MS Deco Fan Border punched frame, and Prima Say It In Pearls...

Here are the two (2) ribbons I used layered on top of each other and then tied in a bow..

And here is a portion of the MS Doily Lace Trim Deep Edge strip along with a Petaloo Floral and Prima Vine..

Here are the two pages together...........

This will also qualify for a few other challenges out there...
Craft Us Crazy ~ Anything Goes
One Year Art Journal ~ Only Girl (in the world) by Rhianna

Scrappy list of things I used on this layout.........
Stampin' Up Cardstock
BoBunny 12" Noel Rejoice

Acetate/Acrylic Summer Mini Album ~ Stuck On U Sketches and Creative Cuts and More Summer Mini Album Blog Hop

I wanted to show you the 3-D effect here!  Look at those water droplets, they look like they are floating!!

Happy Friday everyone!!!!  Welcome and thank you all for stopping by today..
We have a Summer Mini Album Blog Hop going on over at Stuck On U Sketches sponsored by Creative Cuts & More ...  and we are going to have so much fun!!   I hope you can pick up a few good ideas on how to scrap some of those wonderful photos you've taken this summer..  Each of the Design Team Members from Stuck On U Sketches and Die Cut Divas (which is the official blog for our sponsorCreative Cuts & More) have put together some amazing Summer Mini Albums for this hop..  I also want to mention that Creative Cuts & More has so graciously provided each of us some goodies of our choice for this hop!!
A BIG THANK YOU to Creative Cuts &More owner Terry!!!!
I also want to show you the prize Creative Cuts & More is giving away to one lucky person who followers all of the rules and completes the hop before Midnight, July 31, 2011 Eastern Time...
Here's the prize!

Wow, look at all of the possibilities here!!!!

Okay, lets get started...
You should have "hopped" over here from Die Cut Diva's Design Team Member Dawn Lotharius..

If you didn't, you may want to head on over to SOUS (StuckOnUSketches) to be sure to start from the top!!  You won't want to miss any of the albums we created today.  Today's hop is all about SUMMER and Creative Cuts and More has a lot of albums perfect for all of your summer activities... so be sure and check that out after you finish the hop!!!

Now, for my Summer Mini Album, I decided I wanted to make an acetate/acrylic album... I've never done one, but have wanted to try one for a while now...  So I chose the 6" x 6" Album Pages in Acetate  from Creative Cuts & More.
I know there are a lot of different ways to decorate an acrylic album, but I decided to stick with what I thought was a pretty basic technique...  I wanted a clean, 3-D effect..  First of all I painted the edges of my album with some bright acrylic paint.   Then I decorated the front cover, leaving most of it clear so you could see through the whole album... I also covered the very last page with Tim Holtz alcohol inks... Love the way this page turned out!!!  And now to fill the "in between" pages..  I had an idea of what I was going to do, just a matter of making it look good...   I concentrated on photos of my grand kids all taken on the same day while they were playing in the pool..  I found 3 that would work together nicely, and then proceeded to cut Zach and Colten out of their photos and layer each on a different acrylic page over the larger photo of Savannah...  After I got them where I wanted... I just start adding stickers, embellishments, ribbon.. anything you can think of until you get the look you like...  I attached the album together with album rings and tied lots of fiber and ribbon along with some charms.  I hope you enjoy it.....

Looking through all of the pages...

Front cover...

Inside of front cover...

2nd page...

3rd page...

4th page

Back side of 4th page...  Details about the photos..

Last page... I used alcohol inks on this one...

Hi everyone, Happy Friday!!!!  Today is reveal day over at Stuck On U Sketches...  and we have another fabulous sketch to show you by our very own Nanne!!!

I told you it was fabulous!!!!  :o)

I decided to get some of my son's wedding photos scrapped...  Let's see, since he and my DIL have been married for 9 years now, I guess I should get started on his scrapbook..    This is a photo of their first dance and I actually found this photo in one of the albums I got after my Grandmother pased away... Since I already have this photo, I  decided to scrap her photo.. that way I don't have to scan it to the computer and reprint it again..   None of my son's wedding photos are scanned to my computer..  it just takes me so long to do that, but I really need to get that done and then back it up on a disc..  Maybe when I have a spare moment or week!!!  LOL    Anyway, I hope you like my layout!!
Here are a few close-ups...
