Halloween Treat Bags for Grandkids ~ 2010

Hi everyone!!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend..  I had a little extra time today so I decided to make my little grandkids each a little treat bag..  I bought these die cuts last year from Creative Cuts and More for Savannahs Day Care class and I had 10 left over, so I decided to use up some of my "old stash"..  We  stamped "Trick or Treat" on all of 'em  last year, so I had to work around that...  Most of the die cuts are from October 31st except the strip that the black cats are standing on and that's Cuttlebug Floral Borders..  I added Rhinestones and Ribbon to Savannah's and that's pretty much all I did to 'em.. I also did this for the FABULOUS FRIDAY CHALLENGE over at Frosted Designs.  This challenge is to encourage us to use up the supplies we already have in creative ways!!  So if you get a chance, please head on over there and check out their new and improved website... They have something for everyone!!!  And that reminds me, be sure and check back here next Tuesday for my Sketch Along Tuesday debut ~ It's a cutie!!!
Happy Halloween to those of you who celebrate and I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!
Hugs to you all!!

BEWARE (1987)!! SOUS Halloween/Fall Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone!! Happy Friday!!  Boy do we have a FUN sketch challenge over at Stuck On U Sketches!!  This week we have a 2 pager with a theme of Halloween/Fall..  Here is the sketch, and as you can see, plenty of space for your photos and embellishments!
Now, I know the sketch has four photos, but I chose to use just two. Mainly because that's all I had of the kids this year at Halloween..  Remember, you don't have to follow the sketch exactly,  just as long as you get your inspiration from it..   So, with that said, here's my take on it..

I had a blast with this one. The photos are of my children on Halloween, 1987.  Levi was 7 and Amanda was 5, this was taken when we lived in Alamogordo, NM.  Don't they look scary???  This was not my daughter's favorite mask and she still tells me she needed therapy after wearing it...   I can't wait for her to see this...LOL

Here are the individual pages... You can click on the photo to enlarge it..

Savannah's Halloween Card

Hi everyone!!  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend!  My son and his wife and Savannah and Colten have been here almost all week because their heat and air went out in their house and it was just too hot for the little ones to sleep there.  They tried opening the windows for one night, but everyone woke up all stopped up and coughing their heads off...  The allergies are off the charts down here...  So anyway they have been staying upstairs and really no problem at all..  I'm just not used to dropping one off at Kindergarten..  but we managed... They all went home yesterday to a very cool house, and I mean that literally. lol
Anyway, here is the card I made Savannah for Halloween...  The image is from Mo's Digital Stamps and is called Halloween Witch..  Isn't she just the cutest!!!  I colored her with Copics and then at the last minute I want to make her look very old, so I crumpled the paper into a little ball and then added some distress ink...  I really like the way it came out, just hope Savannah likes it too...  The spider webs are stamped on with  SU Web Wishes Stamp and then the little spiders are rubons...

Lights, Camera, Action ~ Sketches In Thyme Challenge ~ WOW I'm the top winner over at Ooh-la-la Challenges!!!!

Hi everyone!!  It's time for another sketch challenge over at Sketches In Thyme.  And there is something very special about this weeks sketch..  Did I hear you ask why??  Well,  because it's designed by our very own Maven, Diana!!  Wow, and isn't it a beauty?!  You go girl!!

I had so much fun working with this layout, and so will you...
Here's what I came up with...  I am lovin' the grunge/distressed look of this layout of little GS Colten.  The photos were taken a couple of weeks ago.  His daddy just bought him that coonskin cap and he thought he was Mr. Hollywood..  I couldn't get him to stand still long enough for me to get any pictures..  These are about the only ones I got...  But they turned out precious!!

Here are a few close ups

I cut the star out of The Paper Loft paper and stamped it with the SU Flannel Plaid BG Stamp and then sponged the edges with black ink.  I don't know if you can tell but it's popped up on pop dots..  I layered the Bo Bunny Chunky Charm, SU Always Artichoke CS and then the cute photo of Colten. You can also see the film strip and the Bazzill cardstock strip, along with some of my distressing.

Here you can see those wonderful Creative Charms ~ Vintage Accents, Metal Frames which I added SU Always Artichoke CS which I stamped with the Itty Bitty Background Stamp in SU Always Artichoke Ink.  I cut the camera out of Bo Bunny and you can also see one of the Sticker Flourishes from EK Success, and of course some more distressing.

Here are the other EK Success Flourishes and you can see where I stamped the smaller circle with the SU Flannel Plaid Background Stamp in Black.
And here is my journaling.. And more or the film strip and Bazzill cardstock strip.
This layout also qualifies for a few other challenges out there, which are:
