Another Blog Award!!

Hi everyone!!   I know I haven't been around lately but I'm back in full swing now.  And I finished 2 layouts this weekend, but you will have to wait until Thursday to see 'em..  So be sure and stop back by Thursday!!!
I don't know about you all, but I sure can tell I'm getting a little older, especially when we make these quick 10 hour road trips ~ we have to make a few more stops to get out and stretch our legs... :o(     I want to thank you all for your concerns and sweet comments you left me over the death of  my DH's aunt..  I also want to give you a quick update on my dad..  He is doing pretty good, he has slowed down a lot, but still has a good attitude about everything, and still has that quick smile...  Our daughter and son went back to Oklahoma with us and I could tell it was hard for my daughter seeing her grandpa like this...  Getting old is just no fun!!!  Okay, I better stop before I need a tissue!!
The reason I am posting in the first place is to share with you all  this sweet, and I do mean "SWEET"  award  I received  this last week from  Debbie at Debbie's Scrappin Corner), one of my new bogging friends.   First of all, if you haven't visited Debbie you really need toooooo ~ she has some fantastic tips and her layouts aren't bad either, in fact, they are fabulous, so go check out her blog!!!!  Debbie, thank you for thinking of me!!

So here are the rules for accepting this award:

1. You must thank the person who gave it to you. Thank-you Debbie!!!!!!!

2. Copy the award to your blog.

3. List 3 things you love about yourself.

One ~~ I'm a very honest person!

Two ~~I'm a very hard worker!

Three ~ I'm so glad that I found that creative person lurking deep inside of me!!!

4. Post a picture that you love on your blog.   (posted below!!)

5. Pass this award onto 5 others.

Well, I'm breaking the rules ~  a-g-a-i-n!  I know how busy a lot of you are right now, so instead of putting the pressure on you, I'm going to invite anyone who reads this post to just grab this "sweet" award ~ compliments of me!!  Enjoy!!!

Now here are my pictures... I know, I'm just supposed to use one, but I said I was breaking the rules, didn't I???   And a lot of you are going to say  ~  Her favorite photo is an ugly old tractor!!!! lol  Well, I will NEVER use the first 2 photos in any of my layouts, because I don't care how many primas you use it's not going to make them pretty!!!! lol...  But I am so darned proud of my husband who restored this little tractor, that I wanted to share it with you, and as you can see has become Savannah's favorite one out of the 3 he's overhauled so far...  This is a 1940 Farmall that had to be hauled in pieces, on a trailer to our place...  But now it runs like a jewel after Rick put a lot of hard work into it, now he just needs to paint it...  As you can see Savannah can drive this one all by herself in granny gear and with grandpa walking close by!!
Again I want to thank Debbie at Debbie's Scrappin' Corner for this cute blog award!!!
Be sure and check back with me this Thursday to see my new layouts for Sketches In Thyme and The Pink Elephant Challenges!!
Hugs!!!

The big blue swirls are cut from TPC Studio Undersea Adventure Water Surface.  Notice the tassel, it's yarn..   This is a photo of little GD Savannah this last June at her Pre-K Graduation..   She was so excited ~ just look at that smile on her face...  Kindergarten starts Monday and Angela said Savannah is so ready...  Where has the last 5 years gone..

Hi everyone!!  I've had a wonderful weekend...  I did nothing but play...  and I finished 4 layouts this weekend, but this is the only one I can post for now..  The other 3 are for DT work...  Be sure and check back Thursday and Friday to see what else I created!!!  I did this layout  just for fun..  The photo is of my grandparents, my dad and my uncle...   Another fabulous photo I found in one of my grandmother's photo albums.  Notice the writing on the bottom of the photo..  My Grandmother wrote that in her later years and I was not going to crop it off..  So that's where my title comes from.... I decided I wanted to go monochromatic on this layout and I love the touch of soft pink..  I think my grandmother would have appreciated the feminine touch since she was the only female in the family for so long...  I also found a few challenges out there that this will qualify for which are:

Hi everyone, it's Thursday and I guess you know what that means..... Another challenge over at The Pink Elephant!!!  This week we have a sketch with a little twist...  Here is the sketch:

And the twist is to use some kind of fabric on your layout this week..  which includes felt...  This is a photo of GD Savannah taken in June...  I just love the wrought iron bench she is sitting on, so I tried to create around that element.... (rustic, country..  you get the picture..)  As you can see I kinda wandered from the sketch just a little, but you can still see the "bones".....
