Savannah's Birthday Card ~ And Balloon Bouquet!

Hi everyone!!  It's Friday, 30th of July, and today is my little granddaughter Savannah's 5th Birthday!!  I can't believe that she is going to start school next month...  Wow!!  She is having a bowling party tomorrow..  Yes, I said "bowling" party.. I'm telling you 5 going on 25..  I guess that's the new thing for 5 year olds...  I don't think I went into a bowling alley until I was well over 16 years old...  But Angela said they put the bumpers in the alleys so no one gets a gutter ball, I'm just a little concerned that they may not be able to get the ball all the way down the lane!!  Oh well, a fun time for all with bowling and pizza!!!   Here is the card I made for her..  I really think she'll like it.  The bright colors, the flower and bling...  Oh yeah, she'll like it....  I also went into town today and picked up a balloon bouquet for her.  Levi left me the key so I could put it in her bedroom so when she got home this evening it would be a surprise..  She also told me that she wanted the "PINK" Breyer Stable that was at the Tractor Supply Company..  It had to be the "Pink" one... So I got that for her, too... Of course it didn't come with any of the horses so I had to get that too..  You can't do much with a stable without horses!!  All in all I think she will have a very happy time at her birthday party....
Here's a list of scrappy things I used on her Birthday Card:
SU Basic Black CS
BoBunny ~ Petal Pushers ~ Stripe
SU Whisper White CS
Prima Flower
Prima Vine
Prima Say It In Crystals
Cuttlebug Vintage Corners
Cuttlebug Floral Borders

I Truly Feel Blessed To Have So Many Friends!!!

WOW, look what my sweet friend passed on to me last week!!!  Not just 1 but 2 blog awards!!  Thank you so much Aaron from Scrapinlils Creative Side.  She is such a sweetie and she doesn't do just one thing, she does it all...  Go check out her bog and see what I mean, you won't be disappointed.   I feel a little bad about just now getting this posted , but it's been a wild and crazy weekend..  I have been playing Grandma most all weekend and just luvin' it...  Friday I spent all day with DD Amanda and sweet little Zach..  He turned 3 weeks old and weighs in at 9 lbs., and is 21 inches long....  Wow, talk about growing right before your eyes!!!  He was soooo sweet.....  And Grandma just couldn't hold him enough...  For the most part he's doing pretty good at night, just had a couple of really rough ones so far...  But he also has had some good ones...  So, all in all, I think they are going to keep him!!!!!! lol...
Saturday I did some much needed things around the house,  inside and out.
And then Sunday from noon till around 8:30 PM I had the other little ones over...  DS Levi brought over Savannah and Colten, while DDIL went in to work to try and get caught up while it was quiet.  Savannah, being 5,  does very well, but little Colten, at 20 months, well, he's all boy and loves to climb on everything, and he thinks he's just a big as Savannah, so, poor baby has so many bumps and bruises on his little head it's not funny...  And I don't think the little guy ever walks, he's at a full run the whole time....  Anyway, I love being a Grandma and I looooove my little grand babies.. So if I have to put my scrapping on the back burner every now and then, so be it...  But I'm here now... So, again, I want to thank  Aaron for thinking of me.  Now I must pass this on to more of my blogging friends..  So in no particular order here goes:

A Moment to Cherish ~ Baby Zach ~ Winner of the Top 3 over at Pile It On!!!!

Hi everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful 4th!  We had the kids and grand babies out yesterday and had a great time!!  This is the first time little GS Zach has been to the country and as you can see, he was not impressed!!  But Grandpa and Grandma were pretty impressed with him...  Savannah and Colten were so excited when he got here..  Savannah wanted to hold him all the time and little Colten just wanted to poke him...  So needless to say little Zach spent a lot of time in his bouncer up on the counter top out of reach from little Colten...  lol..
For this layout I went with the sketch over at Stuck On U Sketches..  They also had a red, white and blue color challenge that you could use if you wanted to...  Boy was that a hard one...  I didn't go patriotic but instead wanted to do a baby layout and since the blue went with a little boy, and Zach had on a little red onsie, I think I pulled it off pretty well...

Simon Says Challenge ~ Check it out ~ use checks, gingham or plaid  - I used gingham ribbon.
Frosted Designs ~ Red, White and Blue and stars and stripes... Oh wow I can't believe I missed this one....  My stipes are in the ribbon and the star is little Zach!!!!   (hope that counts)  Thanks Barb!!!!!
