Husband's Birthday Card ~ Bombshell Image

Hi everyone.  This is a card I made for my sweet husband, who's birthday is tomorrow.  He will be 53.   I have to get him back for the card he made me for Christmas.  Sorry, I can't post it!!!  As he gets older, he's less stressed and just acts crazy sometimes. When the kids come over, he keeps 'em laughing..  After all of those years of hard work and raising our kids and doing all of that stressful parent stuff  now it's just so refreshing to be around him because he doesn't get excited about anything anymore.  These are our best years right now, and I know he will get a kick out of this card!!  Anyway, I did this card for fun and I hope it doesn't offend anyone.  If so, I apologize..

   Here's what I used.
SU Basic Black CS
Red Adhesive Glitter Paper
Doodlebug Beetle Black Crushed Velvet
Heidi Swapp Words  ~ Bling
Zva Embellishments
Ribbon
Charm
Heart Border Punch
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking a peek,
and please come back again!
Have a wonderful evening and Happy New Year!!!

Let's Talk Savannah ~ Scrapbook layout; Creative Belli Challenge # 81, Snowflake using Stampin' Up Tag, Swirlydoos December Kit

Hello everyone, it’s time for another Belli Challenge. I know everyone is very busy with last minute Christmas preparations, but remember you have a whole 2 weeks to do the challenge, which is to use a tag or tags on your project.  I also want to remind you all about our Creative Belli Challenge Design Team call. It runs through January 3rd, so be sure and check out the details here:  It's really a lot of fun so go check it out!!
For this challenge I decided to make a Stampin' Up Tag Snowflake (my tutorial on using just 1 Tag Punch can be seen here and the 2 Tag Punch tutorial can be seen here) and use it on a Scrapbook layout. This is my sweet little granddaughter Savannah and the photo was taken at my DDIL’s Kids Christmas Party, a couple of weeks ago. It looks like Mrs. Clause is having a serious talk with her. And the look on her face is just too cute…
I also used some of the paper from the December Swirlydoos Kit.. Which, I might add,  is just gorgeous!! I hope you like it , here’s what I used:

Stampin' Up Snowflake Tutorial ~ using just one tag punch!

Here is a little tutorial on how I created my Snowflake seen here.
What you will need is:

SU Large Tag Punch
Pretty Paper
Double Sided Sticky Tape
Transparency Sheet
Decorative Brad
Pop Dot
Scissors
and maybe your paper cutter

This is what you will do for 1 snowflake ~ but you will actually need two of them!!!
First ~ Punch out 8 tags
Second~ Put strips of double sided sticky tape on back of each one

Third ~ Place 4 of them on the transparency sheet as shown in photo. This is the bottom layer.

Fourth ~ Place the next 4 over the top as shown in photo.

Fifth ~ cut out as shown

Sixth ~ Turn snowflake over and cut as shown

Now do all of that again to make the second Snowflake.

After you get that done, you will need to put a pretty center on it and put a pop dot between the layers… And there you have it…

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and will give it a try.
Have a wonderful day!!

Wedding Layout; Bride, Groom and Groomsmen

Hi everyone!! I told you I would try and upload a layout today, and here it is! This is another page for my daughter Amanda’s Wedding Album. I have about 6 more pages left to do, and then the Wedding Ceremony Album will be done. I talked to her about the Reception Album last week and I think we will be doing a lot more photos per page in that album.
I’ve also ordered 3 of these wonderful album boxes from Overstock.com, check 'em out here. I already have 3 in different colors, and I looove them, especially for layouts with thick embellies.  I really think they will be perfect for these  wedding layouts.

Colten ~ Christmas, 2009; Creative Scrappers #82; Frosted Designs

Hello everyone!!  It's been a whole week since I uploaded anything, and I sure am glad  I got to play today.  I have been baby sitting my grand babies, and working, and trying to get everything mailed off, and.. and... and... I could just keep going on and on.. but I won't, instead I'll tell you about this sweet layout.  This is a layout I did for the challenge over at Creative Scrappers and the challenge over at Frosted Designs.  Creative Scrappers provided a Sketch, which I really did start out following, but I just got a little side tracked, and Frosted Designs actually has 2 challenges for this week.  One is Paper Piecing and the other is Distressing.  You can do both or choose one.  I chose distressing, which I do on most of my layouts anyway.  Okay, now about my layout.  This is little Colten, 13 months old, and the photo was taken at my DDIL's kids Christmas Party this year.  He was actually sitting on his daddy's lap but I cut him out of the photo.  I wished they would have emailed my one of him with Santa, not for sure if he would even sit on Santa's lap this year.  Oh well, this is still a sweet photo, but just doesn't look very Christmasy..  But I fixed that by adding all of my little snowflakes and stickers.  I hope you like it!
Here's what I used:
Creative Imaginations ~ Glitter Sheet Music
s.e.i. ~ Alpine Frost
Snowflake Doiley
The Paper Studio ~ Alphabet Glitter Stickers
Sticko ~ Dimensional Stickers
Christmas Stickers
Zva Self Adhesive Embellies
Snowflake Buttons
Thanks so much for dropping by.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs.  :o)

P.S. I'm actually working on another layout for Amanda's Wedding Album, so be sure and check back tomorrow, it should be done by then....

4 going on 24 ~ Scrapbook layout of Savannah

Happy Friday everyone.  The weekend is finally here!!!! YEA!!!  I did this layout of little GD Savannah today, and I call "4 going on 24", because that's exactly what she is.  Sometimes she just seems way older than 4 years..  And pretty stubborn to boot!  The photo was taken at daycare just a couple of months ago, and I just thought it was the sweetest pose.  So I searched my pp and I came up with this paper from Best Creations, Inc.  It has a little glitter on it and I think it compliments the photo beautifully.  I hope you like it.  Here's what I used.

Hello everyone... I've been very busy finishing off my Christmas Cards, and I think I have succeeded. They are all ready to be put in the mail next week. I can't believe that I finished 'em so early this year!!!

I also did most of my Christmas shopping yesterday and I got everything wrapped and under the tree. I only have a couple more presents to get and everything will be done ~ YEA!!! I think this is the first year in a looong time that I have everything done so early. Maybe it won't be such a stressfull Christmas season after all.
I'm going to try and make a layout tomorrow but no promises, If I do it will be late, so be sure and check back tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend!!
