This will be his next project, as soon as he gets the Case Tractor out of the shop.. As you can see, they dressed Colten specifically for this picture, and what a cutie he is in his little overall shorts and green shirt.. Hope you like it. Here's what I used.

Scrapbook Page - Boy - Little Colten

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your Sunday. It's quiet around here, our kids are getting ready to go on a little vacation, so they are catching up on chores they need to do around the house today, so it sure is quiet without the little ones running wild...lol.. So then I decided to make a layout of little Colten. I found this beautiful paper in Fredericksburg last week while coming home through the Texas Hill Country. I think this paper is gorgeous, and perfect for this picture of Colten, and it even has the perfect name "Grandmas house"...LOL I hope you like it, too. Here's what I used.

Gift Card Purse

Hello everyone, I hope you are enjoying your Saturday. I've been playing around in my stamp studio came across these cute little purses. Are these just not the cutest things you've ever seen!! And you can use them for so many things. They would be great for Gift Cards, Cash, Lotto Tickets, A wonderful SWAP idea to put your business card inside, or any kind of a ticket, such as theater, or, they would even make wonderful favors for a little girls party or sleep-over. If you use your imagination, the list could go on and on... I'm going to keep these two on hand for my daughter and daughter in law's B-day. I made a quick tutorial on how to make them and it's posted below. Here's what I used on these.

SU Kiwi Kiss CS
SU Rose Red CS
Ribbon

The Right One:

Gift Card Purse Tutorial

Hello everyone, here is a little tutorial on making these sweet little gift card purses. Aren't they just the sweetest things???
Here's what you need.
Paper Cutter
Score Pal
Tape
Double sided DSP
Cardstock to match the DSP cut with the SU Top Note Die
Ribbon 10"

Velcro
An embellishment for the closure or you can make you own. I used one of these sweet little Tinker Bell embellishments.
SU Med. Cellophane Bag ~ to hold the gift card, ticket or business card.

Score the 6" x 6" DSP at 3 inches and fold and press.

Score the SU Top Note Die cut at 1 5/8" and again at 2 1/8"
fold and press.

Punch holes in the to of the folded Top Note about 3/4" in from both sides.

Thread your ribbon through the holes and tie a knot in both ends, cut any loose tails off.

Measure 7/8" from the top opening on the DSP and cut at an angle to the bottom (see photo). This will make the bottom of the purse and will attach under the Top Note. Do this on both sides of the DSP.

Lay it inside the Top Note piece to make sure it fits the way you want it to.

Now tape the DSP to the back inside of the Top Note with tape.

Attach the embellishment on the front of the Top Note Die and then attach the Velcro on the underneath side and on the outside of the purse.
Now for the Gift Card Holder. You will need 1 SU Med. Cellophane Bag.

Put the card, or whatever you are using, in the bag and cute about 3/4" above it, and then attach it to the inside of the purse with your tape.
And there you have it.

Enjoy, and let your imagination go wild . Thanks so much for stopping by.. Come back anytime..
Have a wonderful day!!!
Hugs.....:o)

The Smile Says It All

Hi everyone. This is a page I did of my sweet little GD Savannah. This was taken early this summer. Her parents were taking her to pick strawberries, since she had soo much fun last year. But, the strawberry patch was shut down and all grown up with weeds. What a disappointment it was to her. But, on the way home they drove through one of the small towns and they were having a street fair. They had pony rides and a petting zoo with a lot of little baby farm animals, face painting and some games. Well, you guessed it, Savannah talked them into stopping and they had a wonderful time. You know anywhere there's a pony, you will find Savannah. She is quite the little farm girl... This is also for the layout over at 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks. The actual layout calls for a row of five photos, but I've been trying to scrap this picture and this weeks layout was the perfect shape. Anyway I hope you like it. Here's what I used.

Mothers Wedding Page

Hi everyone... Happy Hump Day !!! This is a page I did of my Daughter's Wedding. The inspiration was from this weeks sketch at 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks. I was going to throw this doily away after I sprayed it with the copper tattered angels glitter mist. I just didn't like the way it turned out. But I decided to see what I could do to it to make it work on this layout. So I grabbed the Perfect Plum Ink pad and smeared it all over the doily and then wadded it up in a little ball, then I un-wadded it and smoothed it out and low and behold I really liked what a saw. I hope you like it too.. Here's what I used.

Stampin Up Punched Halloween Spiders Tutorial

Hello everyone. I made a Halloween Page of Savannah using these precious spiders. So I thought I would tell you how to make one in this quick tutorial. And then upload the page tomorrow.. These are made with SU punches, and are sooo easy..
You will need:
SU Scallop Circle Punch
SU 1 3/8 " Circle Punch
SU Photo Corner Punch
Cardstock ~ I used SU Dusty Durango CS and Doodlebug Crushed Velvet
Googly eyes ~ I used 6mm, but you can use larger

ones if you like
Tape
SU Marker or Stickles
Pop Dots
And I used Super Glue because of the crushed velvet dp.

So now you punch the legs out with the photo punch you will need 4 small in one color and 4 large in the other color to make 1 spider.

Now punch out 2 bodies with the SU Scallop Circle Punch.
And punch out 1 circle using the SU 1 3/8" Circle Punch.
Now layer the legs as shown in picture. And layer the circle over one of the Scalloped Circles, as shown in picture.

Now position the front legs behind the body, as shown, and glue or tape. Now position the back legs on top of the other body, as shown. You may want to lay the top layer on top of the bottom layer to get the legs where you want them. Add the eyes on the top layer.
Now originally you would put a piece of candy (thin mint) between the layers. They are wonderful to give out at daycare or school,
or even to your little grand~goblins... But I put pop dots between
the layers since I was going to use this little cutie on my scrapbook page. I put 4 pop dots, but you don't have to use so many. I've also used 3 and even 1 before. Use as many as you want.. Add stickles or make dots with the SU marker around the edge of the Scallop Circle.
And there it is, just the cutest little spider.
Thanks so much stopping in, and be sure and come back to see my page when I get it uploaded... Not quite done yet... But will be soon..
Have a wonderful evening...
Hugs:o)

Grandparents

Hi everyone, hope you're enjoying your Saturday!! While looking through the photos of my son's wedding, I came across this picture of my Dad and Mom and decided that it would be the perfect picture to scrap with some of the beautiful paper from the August Kit Passion at Swirlydoos. I truly believe that my dad is part of the dying breed of the true cowboy, and so I really wanted the paper to reflect that rugged ~ outdoor look with just a little bit of elegance. Not for sure if I obtained that look or not, but I like the way it turned out. I can't wait to show it to them, I think they will be very pleased with the results.. The little circle on the bottom/left says My Dad and Mom and their names.

Welcome ~ Belli Challenge #71 ~ Wood

Happy Wednesday everyone. Today is another Creative Belli Challenge, and this time we are going to use some sort of wood on our project. It can be real wood or faux wood. I used 2 wood craft sticks on this sweet little card. I don't know where or why I got these but I do know that you get lots and lots in a package. I glued two of 'em together, snipped the edges and then sponged with SU Basic Brown ink. And then stamped my sentiment on it. I love the 3-d affect and was very happy with the finished product and I hope you like it as well. For more great ideas, go check out all of the other Belli Cards. And then let's see what you can come up with ... don't forget to upload it so that we can all ooh and aww over it.... Happy Stamping...
