I never looked this good, even in my dreams......lol

Hi everyone,

I just have to brag a little. My dear sweet daughter is in body sculpturing and has gone to competition the last two weekends here in Texas. This one was in Austin, May, 9th. It was the INBF Southwestern Natural Championship and she won 3rd place. You know, last year she got a 3rd place, too. We were/are very proud of her, but she was a little disappointed in herself. These are the pictures that were taken. The first one is of her and her wonderful husband, Jason.
Thanks for stopping by.
Come back again,

Good morning everyone...
I'm still not happy with the last card I made for the SWAP... So I'm in the process of designing another one. I originally wanted to use SU Good Morning Sunshine DSP, but changed to the SU Raspberry Tart at the last minute. I really think I'm going back to Good Morning Sunshine. I will post it when I get it done.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day,
Be sure and check back soon...

Hello all,
I decided to change my card for the North Texas Shoe Box Swap. The other one I made had too many layers and required a lot of cutting. I have never made a card in 10 minutes before in my life, this will be very interesting.....lol
Here's the recipe:

SU Raspberry Tart DSP
SU Whisper White CS
SU Friends 24-7 Stamp Set
SU Beautiful Borders Stamp Set
SU Markers
SU Pretty In Pink Ribbon
Brads

FORT RILEY (also known as) CAMP GRANDMA Scrapbook Page

Hi everyone, hope you're having a wonderful Saturday. I have been on the road the last "FOUR" hours, following my dear sweet husband as he roads an old Oliver 1650 tractor from a farm auction to our place. It's only about 12 to 13 miles away, but it was pouring down rain and we started out going 3 miles an hour... OMG!!! and then we got up to 7 or 8 miles an hour. I'm so glad to be home... That's time I will never see again....

Anyway, I had this done before I left, but didn't have time to upload it until I got back, just know. You know men, when they're ready to go, they're ready to go, but you can wait on them all day long when you want to go somewhere....lol He knows I love him...
Anyway, I got the inspiration for this page from this weeks sketch from 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks Challenge. Check it out here. This is a fort that my DH built about a year ago. The only thing I want to do different is get a longer slide... Savannah loved it last year and is already using it again this year. For now she has to have supervision (notice the chairs), but later on when she gets a little older, all the grand kids will be climbing on it like a bunch of monkeys.... Which you know they get that from the other side of the family... lol....

Here is the recipe for this page:

SU Pacific Point CS
SU Kiwi Kiss CS
SU Summer Sun CS
SU Good Morning Sunshine DSP
Letters ~ Bubble-A-Bilities
Camp Grandma Stickers ~ Creative Imaginations from the Paper Studio
Silhouette
Plastic Flower embellishments (don't know from where)

Thanks so much for stopping by.
Come back again soon.

Precious Bud ~ Scrapbook Page

Hi everyone,
Here's a page I did for this weeks sketch over at 52 Sketches ~ 52 Weeks . The sketch used 4 photos, and I just used one. But the rest of the l/o is pretty true. Anyway we are just supposed to get our inspiration from what's shown and not duplicate exactly. So anyway, this is what I used. The background is made from a very pretty napkin I bought at my grocery store. Actually came in a pack of 20, and the tutorial is below, if your interested. Here's my list...
SU So Saffron CS
SU Regal Rose CS
SU Old Olive CS
Cutter Bee Curvy Cutter
Silhouette
Flower from Silhouette
Doily from Silhouette
Corners from mamawslegacy.com
Scallop strip from mamawslegacy.com
Covered Buttons
Fonts from computer cut with silhouette.

All I have to say is that her parents better watch out when she gets in full bloom... lol!!

Thanks for looking,
Have a wonderful weekend,

Napkin and Saran Wrap Background Tutorial

Hi everyone,
Here's a quick tutorial on how I made the Background on Savannah's "Precious Bud" Scrapbook Page. About six months ago on Split Coast Stampers, Lynn from St. Louis showed us this technique for a Technique Challenge and I loved it. I've made a couple of cards using this technique, too.
Here's what you need:
Saran Wrap, Iron, Napkin, 2 pieces of Cardstock and Adhesive.

Next you will need to pull the top ply off of the napkin. This is the part you will use. If you don't, it will not stick to the cs. You may want to cut your cs down about 1/4 to 1/2 inch on the top and bottom, so you can layer it at the end.. Next you will need to tear 2 pieces of saran wrap off and lay them over the 12x12 cs. Make sure you overlap it by at least 2 inches.

Next you will need to lay your napkin over the saran wrap and cardstock

Next make sure your iron is hot, and don't use steam, just heat. Now iron your napkin very slowly. Do not touch the saran wrap with your iron. As you iron the outer edge, and with the iron completely at the edge, lightly pull the saran wrap, it will be melted and pull away very easily.

Here I have done the top and one side and I have pulled the saran wrap away from the edges..

Now it should look like this. All the edges should be clean from the saran wrap and the napkin should be stuck to your cs.

This is what the back will look like. Now take your adhesive and run around all edges of the cs.

Now just press the edges of the napkin over and onto the adhesive.

And there you have it... The other piece of cs is to finish out the back. You will see that I added Regal Rose to the one I did.
Now just add your photos and embellishments... Hope you enjoyed reading this and, who knows, you may want to give it a try...
Thanks so much,
