My Clean and Simple Precious Friend Card.

Hi everyone. This is the card I made for today's Limited Supplies Challenge. It's all about Clean An Simple (CAS). You can't get much more simple than this, and it's about as clean as I can get it.. Here's what is did...
Base card is Barely Banana.
Next is a layer of Best Creations Inc., DP. I didn't do anything to this layer, but stamped the sentiment in Basic Black, and roundrd the corners with punch. Added a little stickles to the sentiment only. The flowers, butterfly and bird already had sparkle on it...
Added ribbon to the corner and bow.
It's a real easy card, but turned out very pretty,
Thanks for looking.
Have a great weekend.

Rose with Alcohol Ink Background

Hello there.. Here is the card I made for today's SCS Ways to Use It Challenge. We were to use alcohol craft products on our card this week. I chose to use Adirondack Alcohol Inks for my background. So, this is what I did.
The base card is Real Red.
Next is a layer of Doodlebug Crushed Velvet
The top layer is Glossy White - which I used Adirondack Red Pepper and Adirondack Copper Alcohol Inks with the ?Alcohol Ink Applicator Felt. After I blotted this around on the Glossy White CS, I used the Alcohol Blending Solution to blend it all together, until I liked what I saw. This dries supper fast, so you don't have to wait to start decorating it the way you want to. I stamped the sentiment from Inkadinkado with VersaMark directly on the Glossy White CS and then embossed with Black EP. Next I stamped the rose, also from Inkadinkado, with VersaMark and then embossed with Green EP. Stamped the rose image again on a piece of white glossy paper, with VersaMark and embossed it with Red EP, cut the flower bud out and attached over the embossed bud on the card front.
The corners are punch from the CB Vintage Die Set and is out of the Doodlebug Crushed Velvet DP. Punched the little hearts out with a punch. Added the ribbon and also added some red stickles to the rosebud. Doodled around the edges... I really like the way this turned out, but it took me 3 whole sheets of Glossy Card Stock to finally get the one I liked... This is a technique that takes a little practice. Hope you like it...
Thanks so much for stopping in,
Have a great evening..

The top layer is stamped with the Flower Fancy 2 step stampin set with Basic Black on Whisper White CS, and then stamped again with Pacific Point and Garden Green. This is cut with my nestabilities. Birthday Card using the Shaving Cream Technique.

Here is the card I made for Friday's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge. I am just now getting it uploaded. The challenge was - the card base must be black so that you have a very bold, black expanse. I think I can do that. And this is what I came up with..
Base Card is Basic Black CS. Stamped with Paisley BG with VersaMark and embossed in Black. The top layer is Whisper White and is called the Shaving Cream Technique. I used Not Quite Navy, Creamy Caramel and Lovely Lilac re-inkers and dropped them around randomly, and then took a toothpick and just sort of drew swirls until I liked with I saw. Then you take you paper and smoosh it on top of the shaving cream pull it up and wipe it off.
This is layered on Lovely Lilac, and both are cut with the nestabilities. Stamped Happy Birthday with VersaMark and embossed in Black. The corners are punch with the SU Corner Punch and is Doodlebug Swimming Pool Serenade DP. The leaves are punch with the MS Leaf Punch out of Old Olive, added the paper flowers, ribbon and jewels.

"SMOOCH" Valentine's Day Card

Hi!!
Here is another card I made for today's SCS Limited Supplies Challenge.. Non-Cheesy Valentines.... (Actually, this maybe just a little teeny bit cheesy...) But it's still cute... Anyway I think it is... We were limited to colors - Red, White, Black, Kraft, and Pinks. Limited to embellishments, Limited in layers, Limited on hand cutting, and was to be just a card front... So this is way I did....
The "LIPS" are from a cookie cutter I found at the grocery store today. I knew just what I was going to do with them when I saw them.. I am going to make a card, and then I can make some cookies to match... What a cute idea for a Valentine's gift.. Anyway, this is what I did.
I used Basic Black, Red Hearts DP, Basic Black, and cut with nestabilities. Traced the lips onto the back of the Red Glitter DP and cut them out. Layered on the Basic Black. Sentiment is from A Happy Heart and I stamped on the Red Hearts DP with VersaMark and then embossed in Black. Wasn't for sure if it would catch on fire, melt, or what, but, as you can see, it did just fine. Punched with the SU Oval Punch, and then added the Basic Black and Red Hearts DP layer. These are popped up on pop dots. Added the little red jewel hearts to the other 3 corners. And the "smooch" are chipboard glitter letters.....
Have a wonderful weekend, stay warm, and thanks so much for looking...

Upsy Daisy in Starlight.. Oh, I mean, 5 Petal Flower Punch Light..

Hi there,
I made this card for the SCS Ways to Use It Challenge today. We were to use a star or stars in our design in the way of star die-cuts, stamps, brads, SHAPES, star designs on patterned paper, etc.. I decided to use the shape of the star as in the SU 5 Petal Flower Punch. Here's what I came up with:
Base Card is Tempting Turquoise.
Next is a layer of Basic Black.
Next is a layer of DP from DCWV called All Dressed Up Stack.
Stamped my image from Upsy Daisy right on the dp with VersaMark, and then embossed in black. Added a few stickles to make them shine... You know me I have to add something glittery on all of my cards...lol.
Punched the 5 petal flower out of the same dp, stamped sentiment from Fresh Cuts with VersaMark and imbossed in black, too. Sponged around the edges with Black. I took that little took that SU used to sell, you know, that it has about 4 or 5 little metal circles and you put your pencil in the center hole and trace round the edge of you image to make another layer. Well, that's what I did with the Flower, I traced it over black and then layered the two layers. Popped this up on pop dots, and then added stickles around the black cs. Added ribbon and jewels.
Thanks so much for looking.
Have a great evening....

Snowman - Thinking of You Card

I made this card for Thursday's Ways to Use It Challenge. We were to use Silver on our Card... Oh Boy, now that is what I call a fun challenge... I love glitter and glitter paper, so that's what I went with for my silver... A friend at work asked me to make her 4 glittery, winter - Thinking of You cards, so I thought this was the perfect challenge for these. I made 2 like this one. Here's what I did:
Base card is Basic Black
Next is a layer of Flowers - Silver Glitter DP, punched the center out with the Extra-Giga Marvy Scallop Punch.
Added a piece of Funky Films - Blue Stars behing the scallop
Snow is from K&Company - White Glitter Paper.
Corners are punched with SU corner punch.
Sentiment is from Warmest Regards and stamped in Basic Black on Going Gray, layered over a piece of the Funky Films - Blue Stars.
Added Snowflakes, Brads and Ribbon.

Cake Nouveau - Birthday Card

It's good to make a card... We have been out of town helping our DD and DSIL remodel a gym they are opening the end of this month. Complete remodel and a lot of tearing out. I am sooo sore I couldn't hardly get out of bed this morning. And my DH is not much better, he just doesn't complain like I do.lol Anyway I had some catching up to do yesterday, so I started with my favorite challenge. The Inspiration Challenge was to get inspired with the Cake Nouveau website. They have absolutely gorgeous cakes. Very hard to decide, but the one I chose was "Antiquity" shown on page 5, row 3, 3rd one over - http://www.cakenouveau.com/caies5.html So this is what I did:
Base Card is Chocolate Chip,
Next is a layer of Summer Sun,
Next is a layer of artsy.licious Fine Engraved - Chocolate
Nestability layers are Barely Banana and Summer Sun
Sentiment is from On Your Birthday, stamped in Chocolate Chip
Leaves are from Brocade Basics and stamped with and on Green Galore
Added a few flourishes from QuicKutz Flourish Die in Green Galore
Added Prima Flowers, Brads and Ribbon.
Thanks so much for looking.
